White Hot Kiss was amazing. And before you ask, no, it's not a romance, despite the name and the cover- the main aspect isn't even romance, it's another one of Jennifer's amazing Young Adult Action/Adventure books. Jennifer has yet to let me down with one of her books, meaning I have not yet read one of her books that I didn't like. She always creates the perfect world, characters and relationships. I would give White Hot Kiss a 9.5/10 stars, it's not as good as Obsidian, but I do like it better than Half Blood. Roth is literally a mix between Daemon Black and Seth. Golden eyes and Black hair, and his characteristics really are a mix of the two, which is awesome because I loved both Daemon and Seth in their books. Roth is very swoon worthy and I'm definitely team Roth. There's nothing wrong with Zayne, I just like him better as Layla's friend than her boyfriend. So these books are about Wardens and Demons. Warden's are gargoyles, which kind of threw me off the series for a while, but, well, it's a Jennifer Armentrout book, so yeah, I had to read it eventually and boy, did I not regret it. So, don't not read this series because of the gargoyles. They're not like the stone gargoyles on a church, though, those are based off them. The Warden's have a human and stone form, and they stay in their human form for the most part. Layla, the protagonist of this book is half demon half Warden, which means she's caught between these two very different races. All while reading this book I was comparing it to the Shadowhunters, but the difference with the demons in Cassandra's books and the demons in this series is that the demons in this series can actually be good. Demon's in the Shadowhunter world are just plain out evil. (But seriously Layla is half demon half Warden remind you of anyone from the Infernal Devices???) So Layla has been raised to hate her demon side, and that it's evil and wrong. She's grown up alongside Wardens, namely Zayne, her best friend and kind of crush. But after her seventeenth birthday she meets Roth, a demon (a smoking hot demon) and he shows her that her demotic side isn't something to hate. Roth helps Layla embrace her other side, kind of. So when the synopsis of this book sounds like a humungous love triangle, it really isn't, it's more of a chance for Layla to find herself, but at the same time it really isn't about finding herself. The action scenes are awesome and well written as are all of Jennifer's action scenes and there are some pretty cute romance scenes to top it off. Here's the official synopsis for White Hot Kiss:

See what I mean? It makes it sound like Zayne and Roth kind of go toe-to-toe for Layla's affection, but really, they hardly talk. The book is a hundred times better than the synopsis, I promise and I swear you'll enjoy this if you liked Jennifer's other books. Honestly, this prequel novella didn't interest me nearly as much as White Hot Kiss did. I didn't particularly care for Jasmine in White Hot Kiss and I was still reeling from the end of White Hot Kiss. Jen and her endings *shakes head* I really cannot wait until Stone Cold Touch comes out in October. I would give Bittersweet Love a 7.5/10 stars. It wasn't horrible, but not particularly interesting. So anyway go read these books before coming back to read my review on it :)

So, like I said before, I didn't have any particular interest in Jasmine while reading White Hot Kiss so when I started reading this and found out it was about Jasmine I was pretty disappointed. Dez is a really cute character and just like all of Jen's books, they're funny. I especially loved Herbert, the book definitely got better after Herbert. 
Especially since we see Zayne and Layla. I loved how Zayne got really mad at Jasmine for hurting Layla's feelings since she's half demon, it was cute seeing Zayne and Layla's relationship from someone else's eyes. I got really excited seeing Roth watching Zayne and Layla through the window and then just walking away from Dez. Haha, comparing it to The Mortal Instruments, I guess Roth would be a greater demon, maybe even a Prince of Hell, and if that were the case then the Shadowhunters would be duty bound to go after him, but in these books the Wardens allow some demons to walk the earth and are not trying to completely get rid of them and kill everyone they see.

Mhmm, I liked Roth as soon as I first read about him- Black hair and gold eyes, how could I not? I have a soft spot for the dark haired ones, (as well as Jace). I also really liked hearing that all the Wardens had blue eyes, as you might know from reading my other reviews, I love black hair and blue eyes...

Jen's books are so funny, like you'll be laughing al the time reading her books, I don't know why, but I found it funny reading that Roth was a 'demon baby'. 
So I was Team Roth pretty quickly, and when Roth and Layla first kissed I had a strong case of the feels. Then we find out that Layla's mom is Lilith and I just couldn't help but flash back to The Mortal Instruments there, so Layla has an adoptive bro, Sebby, I'm sure she'd be ecstatic to meet him. 
It was sad when Zayne forgot about Layla since he'd been out with Danika, like I really get why Layla was pissed off there. And then Roth saved her from Petr, who turned out to be her brother. What an arse, huh, maybe she and Clary have something in common, Tessa too. "That bastard deserved to die." I got so so many feels there, it was just so cute! <3 
Then he has those three kittens and they're meaner than Bambi (Bambi and Thumper😂)
By the Angel when Roth said "I think I'd be president" of like the Layla fan club THAT WAS SO FREAKING ADORABLE. 
Did Tony remind any of you of Luc from the Lux series? 
I think we all knew they'd get caught going to get the Lesser Key I just thought it'd be by demons, not Wardens. 
Aw when Roth thought she'd betrayed her I was like crying out to him on he inside, because Roth was hurting! :( then when she told him she didn't betray him he was like, 'I should've expected it, you're half Warden.' AWWWWW
We all guessed that Roth was watching her invisibly, because, she's his responsibility and well, she smelled him. 
Oooo when Zayne and Roth finally meet there's so much tension, I loved it. But when Roth came along to help Zayne fight akvfnrgufbehi and then so many more feels when Paimon had both of them dragged in, oh my gods that was intense. 
I know Roth is coming back. I read the Stone Cold Touch synopsis. He has to come back. I love Roth!

BY THE ANGEL THIS BOOK WAS SO AMAZING. If not a little short, I could really use like 20 more books, Jen. I really could. But anyway I would rate this book a 10/10 stars, it was fantastic. I loved it. Well- how could I not love a book with Daemon Black in it? I mean  , I hate the cover change, you go from this-

Anyway if you haven't read any of the Lux series, I highly recommend these books, they're one of my all time favorite series that I've ever read- which is saying something because I've read A LOT of books. So here's the synopsis for Obsidian:

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

IT'S SO GOOD!!!! If you haven't read it. Go read it. Now. It's so freaking amazing. So once you read the series come back and read my very spoilery review. :) 

SPOILERS FOR OPPOSITION BELOW


"You're broadcasting your thoughts so damn loudly I feel like I need to go in a corner and start rocking, whispering Daemon's name." We didn't really get to know Archer in Origin, but we got to know him better in this book and I loved his character. 
When Katy went with Archer to the store and then all the Luxen came I WANTED KATY TO FREAKING RUN! -_- she can't just listen for once, really? I guess that's one of the reasons why I like her, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't have run!
"I was on level 69 of Candy Crush, you bastard." I love Dawson. In my reread of the series right before this book came out I thought about it more and yeah, I love Dawson, like I want his POV after realizing Daemon and Katy are together, after rereading Shadows, the prequel novella, he never would have thought DAEMON Would have fallen in love with a human after all the crap he gave Dawson about it. Congrats to Daemon and Dawson for being able to keep their emotions, not so much to Dee. 
So also in my reread of the series I saw that there was a Roland mentioned by Jocelyn in Opal, I had read the snippets and was like ROLAND! but nope just two different Luxen named Rolland it appears. 
I congratulate you, Jen, for making it so we COULD NOT TELL IF DAEMON STILL HAD HIS EMOTIONS FROM HIS POV. That was incredibly frustrating and making you need to read more at the same time. I just had to know if he was faking or not! Lucky for us he wasn't otherwise we'd have to go through that whole Dee-fight on a much larger scale and Daemon would never stop beating himself up about it. 
Ugh so Sadi, I'm on Kat's side for this, I didn't like her fro, the beginning, but then we find out she's an Origin and I'm just like, yup, it's decided. I hate her. It made me so happy when she died. 
I thought that the annoying Dee was going to get in the way big time in this book, but she didn't. It's incredible that the  triplets made it out alive, not that I'm complaining if I had a bet on which of them would die in this book it probably would've been Dee. 
I LOVED the scene when Daemon, Dawson and Katy were fighting everyone, that might have been my favorite fight sequence in the book, that or the part where they fight Dee, that was awesome. Not that I liked that they had to fight Dee, it's just we've never seen her fight before, Daemon and Dawson would have never allowed it, so I had no idea she even could fight so it was interesting seeing her in combat. 
By the Angel when we found out Daemon and Katy weren't connected I just couldn't believe it, but then this thought popped into my mind- Jennifer wouldn't disconnect them... unless... One of them was going to die in this book. 
Needless to say I flipped out about that. 
So my prediction on this book was that they were going to team up with the government and the Arum and I was celebrating to myself when I found out I was right. It was a lot of fun reading about Daemon and Hunter, I just read Obsession today and Daemon and Hunter's first meeting from Serena's POV and I REALLY want them meeting Hunter and Serena again from one of the couple's POV just to see how they feel about meeting Katy and everything. I will not be doing a book talk or blog post about Obsession simply because I do not have enough to say. Sorry. 
Were any of you wondering when we were going to meet this Luxen leader? Because I was. Was it Ethan? I didn't get the feeling it was, but whatever. I was expecting an epic battle and then Ethan's death, but nope his death was rather swift. I mean, Katy just shoots him and he's over. 
Oh, when Daemon and Katy had unprotected sex? I was so scared that Katy had gotten pregnant, luckily she hadn't, we don't really need ANOTHER baby origin on the way, especially if Kat is going to fight. 
"We could really use the Avengers right now."
"Screw that, we need Loki." Lol. 
Aw the whole thing with Luc and Nadia was so sad, because she had obviously died at the end go the book. You know what Jen? I really want a companion novel about Luc and Nadia, how they met and how he fell in love with her, and then when she's dying he tells her he loves her and she feels the same way, they kiss and his heart breaks in two, yeah I would so read that. It's be so cute! I feel so bd for Luc though! Thinking he's not good enough for her and having Daemon get him the LH-11 just for it to not work? :(
Having Luc as an ally is really good, an enemy? not so much.

Ew, hearing about the opal sewn into Lotho's skin it was just gross to even read about. I found it entertaining that Lotho 'wanted' to feed off Katy and they were about to let him but then he was like, yeah, uh, no I only eat grade A Luxen and Katy just thinks Should I be offended? Lol. 
I loved the part where Katy is saying like 
"Look I know you guys are BEFS." 
and Daemon's just like
"What?"
"Best Enemies Forever, duh." 
I don't know why none of the group thought to knock Dee out and kidnap her, especially when she came in to attack and kill Daemon. I would have knocked her out if I were Daemon- or Katy. I liked that Katy talked to Dee, trying to bring the real Dee back even though Dee had hurled her through a wall. Aw but when Dee came back and was scrambling closer to Daemon? So cute. 
"And I expect a Christmas card this year." I really liked Lore, especially when he said that line after giving them each one of those guns. 
I knew that Katy's mom couldn't be Katy's mom, especially when Daemon was saying 'Kat' in warning tones. BUT I WANTED IT TO BE HER MOM. I mean she never even got to say goodbye and I almost cried for Kat there, like my eyes got glassy. It really reminded me of when Daemon found out that Dawson was 'dead' the last few paragraphs in Shadows were heartbreaking. At 85% in the book they say 'hink' instead of 'think'. 
Daemon and Kat are having this cute moment and then Nancy a.k.a moment ruiner comes up and has the nerve to try and shoot Katy. But then Daemon jumped in front of her and I honestly believed he was going to die, and two tears fell down my face. That wasn't crying but it was pretty damn close compared to other times I've read books and watched movies. It was just so close to the end of the book and him dying would be a sadistic plot twist some authors go for, I mean, Jen already kind of did it once, didn't she?
I'm glad Dee found another love interest after Adam, but I do miss the Thompsons I was just starting to like Ash and Andrew and then they died :(. I thought naming Dawson and Beth's kid 'Ashley' was fitting since Ash had saved Beth's life, dying in the process. 
They said 'Always' 'Always' again in this book, seriously they are sostealing The Fault in Our Stars's thunder, lol. 
All together I loved this book, it was really enjoyable, I just wantedmore this can't be the end of Kat and Daemon! I need a novella that's 900 pages about them going to college and everything, Jen! 
Seriously though, this book was shorter than Origin. 

(LOOKING FOR LUX PART? SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF REVIEW) 
These books were good, if you looked at my goodreads you would see I rated all of them 4/5 stars except Sentinel which got 5/5 stars. 
So I would rate Deity a 8/10 stars. It was a really fun read, just not my favorite. Apollyon 7/10 I took off a star because Alex was kind of annoying me in that book and Sentinel 9/10 I loved that one. Then the side books, Daimon a 7/10 I read this after I finished the series so it didn't pique my interest much especially since I was still flipping out over the end of Sentinel. And Elixir 7.7/10 it was nice having it from Aiden's POV though, well I get to it later. So if you have no idea what I'm talking about and you're looking for a fun read, I'd suggest reading Halfblood by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout because they are very fun reads. Personally I prefer the Lux series to the Covenant Series but that doesn't mean I don't love this series as well. 
These books- admirably sometimes I needed to take a short break from reading them, then going back to it. Let's face it, it is very, very hard to find a protagonist that everybody likes everything about, if not impossible. From pretty much all of my favorite books the protagonist has annoying qualities that just bother me. Like
Clary Fray: She thinks she's helping when she's just messing stuff up more and she seems to always need protecting even though she claims she doesn't 
Katy Swartz: She does stupid things without thinking about what will happen afterwards, we all do some of those, but some of her stunts have some pretty big consequences
Tris Prior: She's not exactly funny and she is always doing things to protect other people-which is good- but sometimes it's just stupid and not helping anyone
Katniss Everdeen- I get where she is coming from and all but in Mockingjay she just pissed me off
Four/John Smith- He's too serious, I know he's the leader and all but maybe he should loosen up a little
Tessa Gray- She's impulsive, which I like, but sometimes, like Clary and Tris, she just jumps into things without fully giving it full consideration 
Sutter Keely- he PISSED me off at the end of the Spectacular Now read my review here 
etc. 
So Alex, just STOP- 
I like her most of the time but sometimes she just does things that got me annoyed. 

So go read these books then come back and we can compare thoughts :D


Spoilers below for Deity


HER DAD IS ALIVE, I knew that servant had a purpose otherwise Jen would have never mentioned him. I never thought he was her dad though, that thought never popped into my mind. AND he's a half-blood so that's how an Apollyon is made. 
I felt like she wasn't exactly being fair to Seth, kinda trying things out with him when her heart truly belongs to Aiden. It's been obvious throughout all the books that she is going to choose Aiden because, in EVERY single book I've read they chooses the first one they truly love. 
It was also obvious that Seth was hiding something, oh yeah, and that he beat the crap out of Jackson. 
I'm sorry, but did anyone else LOVE it when Seth and Aiden fought? I love love triangles, they're my favorite type of love thing in a book, well, as long as they choose the right person (CASHA). 
So I thought Jackson was probably compelled, which he was most likely, but not by who I thought. As soon as Alex told Seth who did that to her I knew Seth was going to seriously maim Jackson. 
It was cute when Aiden told Alex his fear, I was just like adisjfdguorwbg it was such a cute moment. Then he left and Luke came in. Let's just think about this for a moment, he knew who Alex was by feeling her boobs. I was practically on the floor in fits of laughter. 
Then Luke told her like she wasn't alone and her friends missed her and I went from laughter to awwwwww pretty quickly. So Lea is changing for the better, so anyone who has read the Lux series, does that remind you of any other mean character that Jenn has written about? A certain blonde? So right when I heard that I was like LEA IS GOING TO DIE. 
'I told him to bite me' I still love Seth even after everything. Just think about him before he was like.. changed. 
Deacon is gay, I was surprised at that, but I think him and Luke are cute together. Then Aiden and Seth are fighting again, Apollyon vs. Pure. Let's admit here if they were fighting to the death Seth would most likely win as of the fact that he's the Apollyon. 
So.... Seth felt bad about the fight, and the obvious fact showing that is... (que drum roll) He knocked. It's a miracle! 
When Seth left with Lucian I was immediately suspicious. Was Seth compelling him? And he was looking at the two of them with a satisfied smile....

She's dead... what???? lol I was so confused. But then she saw Caleb and I felt THE FEELS right there. OMG that part tho. I love Caleb so seeing him again :*) crying with happiness (not really but concentrate on that feeling) 
'You're like the sister I never wanted' isn't that just  heart touching line? lol. I still love Caleb, I like that in these books since they're based off mythology that after death you can still see the people. 
When she returned to the living and didn't remember Caleb I was internally wailing. 
I thought Leon was weird from the start but I did not think he was Apollo that was a bit of a shock. 
'Slaughtering him in his sleep- you know, same old family drama. i'm sure we all relate to that. lol. 
Gods were overgrown children, haha. 
Valentines Eve, I LOVE Deacon he's so cute. And his MHT lol. 
I knew having Aiden and Alex in the same house together was bad, well not really bad but something was going to happen between the two of them. 
Aiden admitted he was jealous of Seth, that was a SHOCKER hmm? lol not. 
I felt so bad for Aiden during his story of his parent's death. Personally I'd choose Seth, because Aiden is too serious for me and he acts as if the whole world is his responsibility, but I can see why Alex chose him, I just wouldn't. 
I want a piece of you always. No matter what. *Que feels*
Seth kinda turned insane in this book. and I KNEW Lucian had a game I just was not expecting that to be it. 
I really wanted them to save Seth, it was obvious that he needs it so TRYYYYYYYY he is a good person! Like you can see a part of him is confused, that he can be saved. SO FREAKING ASS SAVE HIM ALREADY. 
I felt really bad for Lea, since she'd lost everyone. It was cute when Dawn stood up and said she loved her half-blood sister. But then Seth killed her so.... 
I actually thought Seth had killed Apollo when Apollo stayed back to fight because of what Artemis said, but no, which is good since I like Apollo. 
Marcus punched Aiden in the face *Insert laugh/crying face emoji*
Can you guys stop saying spawn? 
And I think he's like the father. LOL. 


Spoilers for Elixir


He'd hit her with a god bolt. And I'd punched him. I laughed at that line. Just the way I read it I guess like it's so simple, I punched Apollo. 
I liked this short 80 page story, especially since it's from Aiden's POV. Though Alex annoyed the hell out of me. First she's a bitchy evil Alex and then she's a very embarrassing Alex who hides in a closet. Is it weird that I feel embarrassed for the protagonist some times, like I feel their embarrassment? The closest part was some of it. 
Saint Delphi my ass. lol 
my favorite part might have been him telling Alex about the first time he saw her. That was adorable. 

Spoilers for Apollyon


I STILL LOVED SETH in this book. I was comparing fantoms left and right
I thought Evil Alex was like Emotionless Elena, oh add Elena Gilbert to my list of annoying protagonists that girl... UGH I just want to punch her in the face... though Damon would most likely murder me. Emotionless Elena was just even more of a butt than regular Elena. Okay back to the books. 
Then I was thinking Seth IS REALLY like Jace, because Jsce turned Evil for COLS BUT HE CAME BACK so I was like SETH WILL COME BACK TO US!!!!!!!!!!! Though Seth was like 99% Jace and 1% Sebby because he was like You belong to me. I was like whoa there Sebby leave Seth. Now. 
I loved seeing Caleb again, how he visited her as a ghost? That was so cute. 
Olivia let her out. Nice. Though now the less annoying Elena/Alex is back! 
They say Okay. Okay. TFIOS-ING IT UP HERE!!!! lol
I liked Apollo in this book a lot more than the passed books even though I still liked him in the past books too.

Lea and Alex have a cute friendship. It's funny was Lea reading the LUX SERIES in this book? I'm fairly sure she was. Nice one Jen. 
Aiden has a large temper when he actually let's it out, but I liked seeing that because it makes him seem more human... well... he's not human....
I was afraid a god had compelled Aiden since he kept like sneaking out, good thing he wasn't. 
Okay so I kept thinking back to the whole 'DO NOT TRUST THE GIfTS' from the oracle so when Apollo gave her the necklace I was like ALERT ALERT but apparently it was just Seth's gift of Telly. 
Did it ever mention what Marcs's element is? 'cause if so I did not catch that part. I assume it's air because it says the element choice runs in the family and Rachelle was air. 
'I actually felt somewhat bad about stealing his helmet and melting it down' Apollo... lol 
I love that even though Caleb is dead he has a small part in all the books. Thank you Jen. 
I hated it when she 'saw' her mom and Aiden 'saw' his parents that was so sad. He's concerned he's going to hurt Alex ahh. 
I actually wrote 'Poor Seth :(' I did feel really bad for him and still do. 
Men. Sigh. I agree Alex, I agree. 
He was doing his hardest to keep his eyes north lol good Aiden.

So when Artemis said she had something inside her I was like WHAT DID ARES PUT IN HER?! But of course Aiden and Alex think she's pregnant. BUT I WAS RIGHT BWAHAHAHA. 
I'm going to say, WE FINALLY HAVE A FEMALE PROTAGONIST WHO GETS HER PERIOD. Let's just leave it at that. 
Olivia and Alex's friendship is so cute, I loved when she did her hair. 
Seth finally showed up :) I knew he was good wen he showed up, he had to be since we all know how much I flipping love Seth. It was ADORABLE how he fed her his energy after Ares beat the living hell out of her. Then when he said he felt bad adwilwrhsdoighrnw
I was celebrating Lucian's death, though Seth really needs to learn that EVIL PEOPLE ARE NOT A GOOD GIFT!!!
I was just like forgive Seth already. I know he did a lot of bad things but he's SETH. Sorry, I get character-ist. Very attached to Seth though. 
When she went down to see Seth and talked to him, telling him she loved him? AWWWW that's all I can say. But then Aiden got jealous -_-

When Seth stepping between Alex and the gods I actually almost cried because of how much he love and cared for her. Then when he promised to take care of Aiden imaginary tears were streaming down my face.

If that line didn't give you several tons of the feels I have no idea what is wrong with your feels, you should probably go see a doctor. 
Hearing what Aiden did when he found out she was dead... awww. But she's a demigod and so is Aiden. 
BUT SETH! What he did for her! I'm still so cuted out about that. This just proves my point about why I love Seth.

So I started this series, yep took me long enough. It's been on my reading list for a while now, if you're friends with me on goodreads you'd know that, if you want to be friends with me, click the link here. Or if for some reason that link doesn't work just go to ABOUT ME. Anyway back on topic. This is an Action/Adventure/Romance book as are most of the books I read. It's a YA and if you're wondering why you recognize the name, our lovely author, Jenn, has also written The Lux Series (which I have read, reviewed and fallen in love with) The Dark Elements (On my To Read list) and a few other novels. 
Just like the Lux series, these two books that I've read so far (I just started Deity) have been a very fun read.
I would rate this book an 8/10 I really liked it, not as much as I liked the Lux Series, but it was pretty good. (If I rated the Lux Series or The Darkest minds an 8/10 SCRATCH THAT I've reread them and now their both 10/10) 
I've heard from a lot of people that the Lux series has parallels with Twilight and that this series, is a lot like Vampire Academy. Since I have read neither of those series, I would have no idea and I loved both the series I've read so far from Jenn. 
this is the synopsis for Half blood
 The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals--well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.


It's a lot better than it sounds, I promise. I wasn't too interested in this from the synopsis either, but it's really good, not surprising from how awesome Jenn's writing is. For me, who loves the action, some of the training got a little dull for me, and Alex isn't my favorite main character, but hey, it's good. So if you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it, though if you've read none of Jenn's books, I would say read the Lux series first, because in my opinion, it's better. Admitably I like Daemon WAY more than I like Aiden. Sorry guys!

    So the Beginning was a little slow for me and I wasn't too interested in it till later. When the daimon bit her (How do you say it Dae-mon like Daemon Black or Di-a-mon or demon?? I wasn't sure) and asked her what she was, my first idea was that maybe her father was a daimon so she'd be kinda a (SPOILERS FOR TID)

I thought it was funny when she was like 'Everybody calls me Alex' when Aiden was saving her. I wasn't really sure what to think of the whole slavery thing, I was kinda just like ah sucks for you because if she went into slavery something would happen out of it. But Aiden saved her from it so whatever. I loved Caleb from the beginning, like seriously I thought there was going to be a Caleb - Alex - Aiden love triangle kinda like the Clary - Simon - Jace ordeal. I figured out that Aiden liked Alex really quickly I thought maybe he'd need some warming to her, but no it seems like he liked her from the start. 
It was obvious that Alex would get caught somehow for sneaking off to the party, and hey look, she did, BUT she and Aiden did get to have a cute short little talk, so it's okay. I thought that it was really cute that Aiden remembered her. 
Like I said before I wasn't really paying attention in the beginning so I thought oh, her mom is a daimon from the start, so that didn't really shock me. 
Another thing that didn't get me surprised was that she was the 2nd Apollyon. When she was reading the thing about it in the giant text book I was like, yep she's the second, otherwise why the heck would Jenn put that in? For Fun? No Authors don't really do that. 
Caleb and Alex's relationship is so cute. I love how protective he is of her, it's very sweet. When Grandma Peperi was like he had a short road I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO
I wanted to know from the first time Lucian was nice to Alex what his game was. I mean, maybe she just hated him a little too much, I didn't really know, but I thought he must have had other motives, and he kinda did. 
Alex kissing Aiden, that was kinda a sad kiss since he was all 'we're pretending this never happened' and all. 
I figured out that it would be a love triangle between Aiden and Alex and Seth from the minute she said Seth was young. What can I say? I know my love triangles lol. 
Okay, any TMI fans reading this? Doesn't Seth sound like exactly like Jace, golden hair, tawny amber eyes, and cocky arrogant egotastic attitude? I mean he has disappearing tattoos too lol. 
Aw when Aiden said she was pretty I was like YES one step closer!!!
You trust me, right? I got conflicting emotions on that.

Kat, say something insulting. Come on - Daemon to Katy in the Lux series
haha so similar. 
She's such an idiot obviously she shouldn't have gone, but we all knew she would go after Rachelle. 
The thing with Kain seriously freaked me out before I figured out he was a daimon. What did you guys think about that? I felt really bad for the half bloods. They thought they were safe. 
Jenn does love writing about those weaknesses- Titanium, Obsidian, Onyx, ya know what I mean? 
Good job to Caleb for knowing his best friend, bad job for getting captured, though, that wasn't his fault. 
I was so confused over Rachelle being kinda Mom-like I was like WTH because I'm used to the TMI demons. Rachelle was insane though, and creepy. 
It was really sad when Aiden said they can't be together, but I get why and I understand why he won't take that risk, he loves her. But the fact that Seth felt her. AWW. I felt bad that he had to go through what she had to also. 
She's training with Aiden and Seth, that'll be interesting since you can tell that they both hate each other. Well, strongly dislike. 
"Yes, I would actually do that." I know he said that because he was afraid for himself, but I already loved Seth, not just because he's the half-blood version of Jace, but because he's my type of guy like Jace Herondale, Will Herondale, Nine, Daemon Black, Gabriel Merrik, etc. I thought that it was really cute when Seth kissed Alex on the forehead before he left. 
The funeral for Rachelle was so sad. It was so cute when Aiden showed up and lit the candles for her, we didn't really see him use his power at all, because it's mostly about Alex, you know?
The whole peace thing, "Yes I have now" AWWWWW Aiden. that was cute.

To start off, Romvi sounds like a jerk. Like seriously. Worst. Teacher. Ever. 
It's funny because Leon is like Alec- He keeps walking in at the wrong time. 
He told me to go straight to my room. (something like that) I went to the cafeteria instead. Haha. Alex may not be my favorite main character but she can be funny. 
I do not like Lea, I side with Alex on this. So this was my note about the apple

I thought that Caleb MIGHT be the daimon on campus, it's the kind of sardonic plot twists most authors go for, thank Raziel he wasn't. 
I like Deacon, we don't see a lot of him, but he sounds like a pretty cute guy when you see what's underneath the drunk cover. 
"I really need to find a way to bar those doors." Lol Aiden and Seth's relationship - I love it. 
I like that Alex feels comfortable around Seth, that she sleeps better with him, I think that's adorable. It was also really cute how she looked really hard and found a meaningful birthday gift for Aiden. 
She was jealous of Seth being with Elena, AWWWW. 
That feeling she's been getting it's been Seth having sex. I literally could not stop cracking up about that. His reaction is SO like something Jace would do. 
Alex is pretty self centered, isn't she? Seth is 19, he's younger than AIDEN! 
Aiden might save the motorcycle over the Minister... haha. I like his more 'wild' 'free' side over his stricter side. it's more fun to read about and easier to get attached to him, but he does have to be responsible, doesn't he?
She loves him.......... I found it entertaining that a guy like Aiden was scared of mortals. tehe. That's entertaining. 
Fate and Unknown. Fate= Seth Unknown= Aiden it's obvious. Though the thing about not accepting gifts.... It's obvious that Alex is going to choose Aiden, even though I really got attached to Seth in this book. the last book was like 95% Aiden and 5% Seth 
In this book it's like 90% Seth and 10% Aiden
That's okay with me. 
I like Aiden and I like Seth so yeah. 
Seriously who is the HE that Peperi was talking about? Seth? Jackson? Deacon? Aiden? Lucian? There are so many males. 
She just poofed. HAHAHA I don't blame the others for laughing. 
Seth is very infuriating- JUST LIKE JACE (Sorry I love Jace) 
Seth feeling Alex's emotions is very entertaining, don't you agree?
I LOVED  Seth by the time he said "I'm going to have a little talk with Aiden." There's nothing I love more than over-protectiveness (Actually there is stuff but that's near the top) 
Aiden has a little bit of my-style-guy-too he's pushing Alex away because he thinks it's what's best for her. That's what they all do. 
I loved that Seth brought over twilight, that was funny and it's cute watching Seth and Alex's relationship grow. 
It's funny because I've been suspicious of Sandra since she climbed up Alex's window. So I wasn't that surprised when she turned out to be a daimon, BOOK SENSE lol. 
NO CALEB DID NOT DIE. NO. NO. NO. 
I was very upset about that. But it was great of Seth to be there for her. 
I was pretty pissed at Liv (Olivia) for blaming Alex (I keep being tempted to say Katy) for Caleb's death, but doesn't that remind you of Adam, Dee, and Katy??? 
It was really cute HOW much it showed that Seth cared for her in this book. He grew a rather large attachment to her. 
I know that Aiden is just trying to protect Alex, but he doesn't have to be such a douche about it, yep a definite my type of guy quality. 
The Covenants remind me of the Institutes, right? 
They're so racist in these, like seriously PURES are ARSES to the HALFS the thing with Hector and Kelia proved that. I felt so bad for them. 
Do they do this often? Haha Laadan yes, they do. 
Cuddle fest!  
A secret society of douchebags---- I can see that
Seth liked eating with the students. It provided more chances for his head to grow bigger. 
That servant, IK he would have something big to do in the plot, but we'll get to that in my review of deity. 
I thought it was really cute that she missed Seth when he was gone. 
Her dad's name was Alexander, her name is Alexandria, that's really cute (I'm saying that too much) that her mom did that. 
God- I love Seth in this book he is amazing though knowing Jenn's love triangle from Lux, is there something up with him? I really hope not. 
I still LOVE the tension between Seth and Aiden. 
"I think I'm going to kill someone," Seth replied casually. <333333
I have officially decided that Telly is an arse with a name that makes me think of Telly Tubbies (Creepy colored baby things)
It was cute when Seth and Alex danced in the field. Then he dropped her. "I blame the wine coolers." "I blame boobs." 
What were Marcus and Telly talking about?! I think I know now but I WAS very confused. 
When Aiden and Seth both stood on either side of her ready to burn the world down to protect her adfhgssfrlfgkvo that's all I have to say to all you fangirls and boys out there.

Another thing what's with Jenn and Red dresses and linking connections between two people, lol. 
I like Laadan but I felt like she was TOO Nice so when she gave her that drink I was like I WAS RIGHT but then I found out she was compelled or whatever. 
Alex was being really mean I think when she jumped into the water with her dress on. 
When they kissed I was like YES FINALLY. 
Another similarity between Lux and Covenant Alex blamed the the connection- though not nearly as long as Katy. 
I was glad when she said she choose Seth. But IK it's not the end, not yet for this love triangle. 
I was mad at Telly for being like you always have a choice- CALEB IS IMPORTANT BITCHASS
Seth was building a storm for Alex in the room. <3 that was so cute. 
When Alex was drugged tho.... It's like the Tris Amity Serum all over again the same embarrassing laughable thing. 
Aiden and Seth fighting when Aiden thought Seth took advantage of her? priceless. 
I think Telly is behind both attacks on her. 
OBVIOUSLY Aiden looked for you and was comforted when he saw you, he LOVES you you naive GIRL. Seriously she is naive though. He loves her so much he won't risk her for his happiness. 
They did the killing count thing, like in Lord of the Rings, awwww

This is a side story from the Lux series about Dawson and Beth and how they met and fell in love. 
I read it on Saturday but was unable to post another review so here it is. 
I would rate this a 8/10 stars
If you have not read this yet and you have read the other Lux books, go read this book now. Though, as far as I can tell it only comes in E-book form. 
Spoilers below
This book was so heartbreakingly heart  warming, funny, and cute. It's great yet sad to see how Dawson and Beth were before. So much more lively. I was sad throughout the entire book, because a part of me knew that they would be captured and put through hell for 2 years. Though the majority of my brain succeeded in pushing out the thought until the very end. 
I love the whole spork ordeal. And how in love both Dawson and Beth are. It was nearly love at first sight for them. 
It broke my hear in the end to read this 
'Sorrow and rage rippled through him as his light burned reddish-white. Dee's tears poured through the bond, her whispered denials kept coming, and God, he would've given his own life at that moment to take away her pain and loss. 
And to change the come of the last things he'd said to his brother. You're going to get that girl killed. Why hadn't he said he loved him? No. Instead he'd said that. Misery cleaved his soul sinking in deep like a hot, serrated knife.'

There were quite a few funny parts though. And seeing Adam, Ash, and Andrew..... That depressed me. Though they showed Ash and Andrew as total arses, I knew that they were only doing that to protect Dawson, their brother. I loved these parts
'"I was outside, and it looked as if a light show was going on in your bedroom. Daemon said you were probably mas-" 
And Dee also knew no boundaries.
"Ah, no, please don't finish that sentence." He lowered his hands, eyes narrowing at his sister. "Don't ever finish that sentence."'

'"Did you just clean a dish?" Dee backed away slowly, blinking. She glanced at Daemon. "The world is going to end. And I'm still a vir-" 
"No!" Both brothers yelled in unison.
Daemon looked like he was actually going to vomit. "Jesus, don't ever finish that statement. Actually don't ever change that. Thank you." 
Her mouth dropped open.  "You expect me to never have-"'

'She. Spoke. To. Him. First. It was like winning the lottery, getting laid, and climbing the highest cliff all rolled into one.'

'He wanted to go over to that asshat's (HAHA ANY TMI FANS THERE??) house and drive his car through it. The fact that he liked his Jetta was the only thing that stopped him from giving them a new doorway.'

'Was that how he stared at Beth? Like she was a stake?
"You never look at me like that." Ash pouted. 
Daemon stared at her. Definately not like that.'

'Secondly he had a mean streak the size of the Grand Canyon, but he wasn't about threatening girls. And finally, Dawson had just gotten that phone after Dee had accidentally zapped the other one, and he'd cry if anything happened to his Jetta.'

'She seriously hoped Daemon didn't kill Dawson. She'd grown fond of the boy.'


ANYWHO I just felt like typing those down for other people's enjoyment. Not sure if it actually benefited anyone else. But whatever. I loved the relationship between Dawson and Beth. It kinda reminded me of Katy and Daemon. But it was a lot more innocent.... Well, with boys like Daemon, Jace, Will and Nine I'm not sure it's possible to have an innocent relationship.

So as far as I know there are 5 books, the last book coming out on August fifth. By the Angel,  so I started this book series last night. IT'S SO GOOD.  Katy- the main character- is a FANGIRL I just want to add. 
So I would rate it a 9/10 stars
This series was fantastic
Though I did keep flashing back to Lorien Legacies, like I could see this as from Sarah's point of view, except, Katy's much more awesome. 
So here's the summary

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. 

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

THERE YOU GO the summary to Obsidian. As soon as I met the character of Daemon I was hooked (and we met him in like the first chapter like seriously)

Daemon is so freaking hot! I love how protective he is over the ones he loves and like Dee and Katy. It was so funny when he reached in between Simon and Katy. 'Oh sorry just getting something to drink.' Then when he and Katy woke up tangled together. Too good. I also read the scene from Daemon's POV, he thought it was a dream tehe. I love the line when Katy says something like 'Someday I will hunt down and kill that pen of his' or something like that. You know, since he's always poking her in the back?! We could all tell that Simon (Tehe any TMI fans reading this?) was going to like try to rape Katy or something, at least I could. When Daemon says something is off, it's off. Like FREAKING BLAKE HE KILLED ADAM AND ALMOST KILLED DEE. Like when I thought Dee was dead I was seriously like NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO and when Adam died my brain kinda malfunctioned. I didn't even know him that well, just that, you know, he wasn't a total arse like his siblings (that includes Ash). Though I did genuinely feel bad for Ash and Andrew. What's up with their names? Ash Adam and Andrew 
Then there's Dee Daemon and Dawson. Like really? 
I bet Matthew's siblings were Mason and Melissa or something like that. Then Chris was like Chandelier and Cheyenne. I never believed Dawnson was dead, did you? Though Beth is a bit of a whack job. 
I didn't trust Blake the slightest after the whole Arum incident. I should have listened to Daemon's gut feeling like I should have originally listened to Jace's. OKAY UNIVERSE I'VE LEARNED MY LESSON! I'm not exactly crazy about the cover look, but you know, I'll get by from the amazingness of these books. 
This series is defiantly going on my to buy list.  I'd prefer hardcover but I heard only like the fourth book comes in hardcover. If you're wondering what I'm talking about then I'll tell you. I buy most of my books on my kindle fire or my kindle instead of in real book form. Then if I really like them I'll buy them in real life (which I'm kinda behind on) mostly in hardcover but if I can't do that than I GUESS paperback will do. Raziel, I'm so glad I didn't ask for the Maze Runner box set for my brithday. I HATED That series, I'm still too lazy to post a review about it though, lol. 
I seriously skipped the TVD and Reign Season finales to read and that's saying something. Please no spoilers though, I still haven't watched them I've been so caught up in reading. Like seriously I've hardly eaten today I've been reading so much. AND I still read them after my eye appointment. If you didn't know, those eye drops make it extremely hard to read, but I just couldn't physically possible put the book down. I cannot wait to get a new one.

I would rate these books a 9/10 stars. AMAZING. I loved these so much. I literally couldn't even tear my eyes away from the book. If you saw a girl walking around Ikea today with her nose in a book, that would be me. READ THIS SERIES you will not regret it.

lets start with Opal shall we? 
So Dawson is back. I feel so bad for him. OMG he just went through so much pain and suffering. I just.. I feel so much epathy for hurting characters, don't you? He's such a sweetheart, though him being in Katy's room was a little creepy. I was kinda scared that it might be a love triangle between Daemon and Dawson and Katy. IDK I'm crazy. When Dawson threw that guy through the window though, I was like HOLY DAIMON BABIES. (Covenant Series?)
AND THEN BLAKE HAD THE NERVE TO COME BACK THAT BASTARD!! THEN HOW DARE HE SLEEP WITH KATY (CREEP) AND BETRAY THEM I WANT TO JUST RIP- Okay breatheeee. THEN WILL COMING BACK NO THIS IS NOT HAPPENING. 
Then Dawson he's sooooooooooo cuteeeee.. I love him. <3 But seriously Dee needed to stop being a twit to Katy it was not her fault Adam died. Like seriously even Ash is nicer after Adam's death. Did any of you notice, but I think Andrew liked Dee. And DANG IT JUST TAKE THE FRIENDSHIP BACK DEE!!! And Seriously Blake? Taking them to a strip club to meet a 14 year boy? (Though Luc is AWESOME) UGH Blake you get on my nerves. I feel so bad for Dawson he was really hurting for Bethany. 
Seriously Katy needs to get over this whole jealous of Ash thing, don't you think? It's pretty obvious Daemon loves her. So just get over it Katy. I literally had to drop my kindle from embarrassment quite a few times.

I was really afraid something had happened to Archer when he decided to hold off the soldiers. 
I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN DAEMON'S FAMILY ARRIVED. I missed Dee, even if she had been a butt face lately. The moment Archer looked at Dee I KNEW I KNEW There would be a Dee x Archer thing. Haha when Dee realized he could read minds and she was imagining him naked....
I was so happy when Katy decided to let go off the jealousy thing on Ash, who I'm actually starting to like. I am also really happy Dee pulled her head from her ass and forgave Katy to her face. 
It was really funny Daemon being over protective of Dee. I loved the Archer and Dee thing while Daemon like was flipping out inside.

As you can tell I was really distraught over Ash and Andrew's death. Paris, I wasn't really upset about that, we didn't know him that well, and I just was more upset over Ash and Andrew. I just..... Then Beth is prego... Wow plot twist. They are going to have an Origin. I hope Beth makes it, she's been through hell and back, so have Dawson, Daemon and Katy. Then the ending, how the Luxen left to go to the others..... WTF WAS THAT?! 
It was that type of ending you don't mind and then you think about it later.... and totally freak out.
