Anji Cooper. (Person on the right)
I love reading. I am also very passionate about writing, cooking & baking. Competition drives me to work harder. I've loved to read for as long as I can remember-- even before I could actually read, I loved to sit in bed on Saturday mornings and listen to my mom read to me (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings etc.). Long story short, stories and fiction have always been a passion of mine. My top book recommendations would be The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, Love & Other Words by Christina Lauren, You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle, Beach Read by Emily Henry, and To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. Key to my Strange Writing Method
For every book I read, I rate them out of 10. I'll be the first to admit that my rating method is weird. My only explantation for this strangeness is I created it when I was eleven or twelve, and I can't change it now because I've been doing it for years! (It used to be on a different blog, but I've since when switched to this blog). Though I rate my books out of ten, the idea behind the system was 5 being the middle ground-- the normal ehhhh book, and working around that.
Anyway, here's, for the most part, how I rate my books
10- Absolute perfection. I loved this book and will forever have a special place for it in my heart. It is my strong belief that everyone should read this book, if they have not already read it. (Rarely given, mostly only to authors I already know and love)
9- Love. I loved this book and it has a place on my favorites shelf. This is a magnificent story and I highly recommend it to everyone. (Not given often, mostly already to series I've already started and grown attached to)
8- Astounding. Lovely story, has a definite place on my favorites shelf. I highly recommend this book. (Not given much, but more often than a 9, I loved this book, and it can be given to a number of books ranging from books I already know and love, as well as new books)
7- Great book. I really enjoyed it and some of them may be on my favorites shelf, but most likely they're a shelf lower. I seriously recommend it, it's a good story. Read it. (This is the rating I've given most often.)
6- Good/ Okay Book. There were a lot of flaws that I didn't enjoy so much and I had an eh feeling about it. (Given out almost as often, but a little less)
5- I was seriously bored during this book, and most likely would not pick up the net book in the series, if there is another book. (Hardly given)
4- I couldn't hardly finish this book. If I even did. (Almost never given out)
3- I literally could not finish this book. (I don't think I've ever rated a book this)
2- Horrible. This book made me really sad, and wish I'd never even wasted money on it. (Never given)
1- I would burn this if I could. (Never given.)
