Oh. My. Gods. AMAZING. I want to see these. Now. I'm dying to see the shows... NOW. Rebekah's back! Which is awesome since I love her and Claire Holt. It seems like Hayley is going a little psycho killer, though, poor Hayley, 'loosing' her baby, being a hybrid... But then Ester and Finn are bad -_- Ugh AND Mikael. BUT we saw KOL AHHHHH he better be in season 2! Ugh I really don't like Divinia like seriously what was she thinking about bringing MIKAEL back?!!! He's just going to kill everyone and burn the city again! Which parent to kill first Klaus asks? I vote Mikael then get rid of Ester giving her time to bring Kol back....
Then the Vampire Diaries trailer somehow made a very sad thing funny. I ship Delena really hard so I hope that somehow that'll work back in in season 6. I HAVE heard the rumors that Ian asked to be killed because of their romance together that, well, ended. I can't decide which trailer I like more, The Originals- Intense The Vampire Diaries- Hilarious. I just want both shows up ASAP. Okay so this series is a spin-off series of Vampire Academy so if you haven't read Vampire Academy there are spoilers below.
So this is one of those spin offs that don't do better than the original. I LIKE this series but I don't love it. Bloodlines and The Golden Lily were pretty boring to be honest, I literally hated Bloodlines. Sydney never really interested me much so really the only reason I started reading this series was for Adrian. All together I would rate this series a 7/10, not my favorite. I never was a big fan of Jill either and seriously even though these books started because of her she's hardly in them after the first book. Like really, if you're going to write a story based off of the fact Jill needs to be protected then at least keep Jill in the story. I lied before I didn't just read this book for Adrian, I read it to see how Lissa, Christian, Rose and the gang was doing. Here's the synopsis for Bloodlines Blood doesn't lie... Sydney is an alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of human and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives. When Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, at first she thinks she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. But what unfolds is far worse. Jill Dragomir - the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir - is in mortal danger, and the Moroi must send her into hiding. To avoid a civil war, Sydney is called upon to act as Jill's guardian and protector, posing as her roommate in the last place anyone would think to look for vampire royalty - a human boarding school in Palm Springs, California. But instead of finding safety at Amberwood Prep, Sydney discovers the drama is only just beginning. Mmm, Bloodlines like I said before was actually really boring, it only starts getting better around Indigo Spell, in my opinion. So if you haven't read this series yet you should read it before you read the spoiler-y section because I do not want to spoiler you, so byeeee. Actually you could still read this review you probably wouldn't really get it and you'd just be spoiled so there's no point in that. SPOILERS FOR BLOODLINES BELOW So my first question in this book was 'is Keith the reason she owes Abe so much?' Oh look, I was right. Turns out Keith raped her older sister and Sydney had Abe stage an attack and take out Keith's eye. When I first heard about some old guy who didn't like the Moroi government I immediately assumed it was Robert, but nope it was Clarence. I seriously did only read this to hear about Adrian and the rest of the VA group, I didn't really care at all for Sydney. I was like cheering when Rose came to drop off Jill, yay, we still got to see her. When Clarence mentioned Vampire Hunters, I knew there had to be some even after Lee was killed, if an author mentions ANYTHING really it's usually foreshadowing. I think we could all figure out Jill was Shadowkissed from the beginning with the conversation Sydney overheard between Abe and Adrian. And I think we all also figured out that Jill was 'hungover' because Adrian had been drinking. I loved Adrian's protectiveness over Jill, though I STILL don't know how I feel about Jill (Ugh I just rhymed) I love the protectiveness all the same. A note I wrote about half way through the book was 'This is so boring I want to hear about Lissa, Rose, Christian and Adrian. And more Adrian.' because really in the first book there actually ISN'T that much of Adrian we get more of him later on in the series. But even though it was boring I think we can all agree that Keith is an arse. I was very confused about what the tattoos had to do with this story line, like they kept bringing it up and I could tell they were something important but I couldn't figure out what. It was so funny when Adrian would pick on Keith because he knew he hated Vampires. Like "Enter. If. You. Dare." and "O positive, my favorite." I knew that was a joke immediately because Adrian doesn't like his blood unless it's directly from the vein as said by Rose in the Vampire Academy series. "I've seen age difference, theirs is nothing." Poor Adrian it was obvious that he was referring to Rose and Dimitri, Ugh another thing that annoyed me about this book was that Sydney HATED vampires. I know that's part of the point of these books, her getting over her fear of them and such, but when she was like flipping out about Jill playing with the water magic I was just like What the heck is your problem? Okay so I caught on to Lee pretty fast, but I was half wrong in my theory. I thought that Lee was a Vampire Hunter for some weird reason because he was in LA when Sydney came to save Adrian and when that girl got murdered and I was immediately like LEE!! Another idea I got was when Eddie froze when he saw Micah I was just like Mason? No joke, that was the first thought that popped into my head and I was also partially right because Micah is a 'dead ringer' for Mason. I wonder if that'll play in in Ruby Circle or if it's just a fact. Overall the characters just annoyed me in this book, except for Eddie, even Adrian annoyed me sometimes. I was especially annoyed when Jill had a temper tantrum and ran off with Lee. Keith seemed like a suspicious character to me from the beginning, so when she was in the tattoo shop I was like... hmmm.. what if Keith was the one supplying them and killing off the vampires? "It takes a lot of tries before you hit perfection. Well, except for my parents, they got it first try." Lol Adrian. I thought Keith might have raped Sydney and that's why she hated him so much, but I actually don't remember her ever mentioning she had TWO sisters in VA so I thought Zoe was the one who was only good for Make up which is why I was confused at the beginning on why she wanted to go so badly. I didn't even feel that bad about Lee, I was just ecstatic that I was right about him. When Adrian showed up I was practically cheering but then I remembered that he couldn't really fight I always seem to forget that about Adrian. I never came up with the theory that Lee used to be Strigoi and I'm also curious about who turned him back, will that play in later too? I was ALMOST cheering when Eddie broke down the door and completely kicked those two strigoi's arses. That was amazing. Then I was annoyed at Sydney again because she wouldn't even let Adrian freaking heal her when she was hurt. I was so sad for Eddie when Sydney confronted him about liking Jill and he said he wasn't worthy enough of her :( that just made me sad because he'd been through so much of course he worthy of her! Then Angeline came in and I was just like wow, I was right, she does play a bigger role just not in the VA series. And then Dimitri walks in and I was like the next book is SO going to have some tension in it. I would rate this book a 4/10 stars which I think is one of the lowest ratings I've ever given because this book just DID not interest me. SPOILERS FOR THE GOLDEN LILY BELOW So my first thoughts in this book were, where is Ian? Yeah, I actually remembered him from Last Sacrifice and that he was infatuated with Sydney. It was really obvious from the beginning for me that Angeline liked Eddie, though it took Sydney a little longer to figure it out. I thought that maybe Trey liked Sydney so there would be a Trey x Sydney x Adrian love triangle nope, he likes Angeline, though, I thought he might like Jill when he was looking at her and like 'I never really noticed her before....' Ugh and when she's all MAGIC IS SO WRONG IT'S AGAINST THE RULES OF NATURE I was just like Sydney, Shut up, no one cares, just practice your magic like a good little girl. "Actually I can imagine a lot of guys into you." Adrian can be so sweet. I thought THERE IS SOMETHING UP WITH BRAYDEN because he was just TOO perfect for Sydney, she said 'it was like he read my mind' and that set off a whole number of alerts in my head but it turns out he was just an extraordinarily boring human. When she showed up to the dance in the dress and basically called her a prostitute I was like Oh hell no. Then after their first date Sydney shook his hand I was just laughing so hard. Think about how awkward that would be. It was SO obvious that Adrian liked Sydney in this book, he did a lot of stuff for her. 'Adrian would probably cling to Brayden's bumper until he got an introduction' haha just picture Adrian doing that and if that doesn't make you laugh I don't know what will. "So far I'm no seeing a lot of difference between me and a carnival con man." So when a human 'recognized' Sonya I was like OMG they have a family member that she probably killed when she was a stigoi and now they're gonna try and kill her, half right there. Sydney just kept annoying me in this book I was about to yell JUST LEARN THE SPELLS ALREADY and that wouldn't really be good since I'd probably wake up everyone staying in the Lake District. By the Angel when Jill was like 'Wow Sydney you look SO pretty today." I was cracking up because it was obvious it was Adrian's emotions but Sydney is just like. "Um.. thanks?" After Sydney's meeting with the two warriors of light I was like wait a minute, is CHRIS a warrior of light, and look I was right. DANG IT THAT RHYMED AGAIN. Ugh Adrian when Adrian was being a jerk so Sonya when he was protecting Sydney I just wanted to pick something up and throw it at him like SHUT UP. Is it totally bad that I wanted Trey to win that fight between him and Chris? It was so funny when they're all fighting and yelling GRAB THE ALCHEMIST GIRL. And Sydney is just watching and then she thinks 'The Alchemist Girl. Right. That would be me.' Wasn't so cute that Adrian knew how to drive stick but just did that to be around Sydney? But then she was a total jerk to him when he confessed his feelings and I was just sitting there like -_- I would rate this book a 7/10 stars it definitely improved since the last book. SPOILERS FOR INDIGO SPELL BELOW As soon as I heard that Sydney was going to that wedding I was just like I WANT HER TO MEET LISSA AND CHRISTIAN AND ROSE HERE. I got very excited when she SAW Lissa and Christian but very disappointed when she didn't talk to them. Then Finally Ian shows up in the plot, it's like, dude, it took you long enough. Okay so the whole thing with Veronica was creepy and when 'she' showed up in Sydney's dream I was like WOAH there back up. Then when Sydney realized she didn't have her cross I was just thinking "Ohhhh, so that's how Veronica found out about her." It was so cute how Adrian gave her a new cross. Another thing that seemed obvious to me- Angeline cheating on Eddie with Trey like seriously it was really obvious that they were sneaking around together. Mrs. Terwilliger was all like Oh Veronica would never go after me. But I was just thinking I bet you that she's her main target. I loved that Sydney finally accepted her magic and started really getting comfortable with the vampires around Palm Springs, IT'S ABOUT TIME. Then Adrian and Sydney were parents to the Callistana I was just laughing my head off at that. Also HE'S SO CUTE, a mini dragon who eats and sleeps? I WANT ONE. "You should get him some toys." Lol, Jill. Then when Hopper wagged his tail my head went all to AWWWWW. Mom, Dad, I want a Callistana for Christmas and one that lasts forever not just for a year. That dream between Adrian and Sydney got steamy pretty quickly with all the 'I'm a quick study' lol. So when Alicia had that protection pendent on I was just thinning *GASP* IT WAS VERONICA IN DISGUISE. Yeah, no just it turns out Alicia was even more of a psycho than Veronica. Then when we met Alicia in Mrs. T's house I was just thinking NOOO she comatosed her! good that she didn't. Dear Raziel, when they didn't find Alicia's remains I thought that meant she was alive, so I had the natural reaction, I freaked out. And then when they were like oh your cousin's in your room, I thought it was Alicia and I was just thinking don't GO IN THERE. But nope it's just Zoe and I can predict from here that she's going to be trouble. Remember when Lia took those pictures of Jill? I thought that would come back to bite them but it didn't... I would rate this book an 8/10 stars it was pretty good. SPOILERS FOR FIERY HEART BELOW The dual POV was interesting and annoying at the same time. As soon as they mentioned that the cufflinks and how expensive they were I Was like, he's going to sell them. Yep he did. Zoe sounds cute and annoying at the same time, like it's cute how she looks up to Sydney. Then we finally hear from Lissa when she's not he phone with Adrian but all the talking to Lissa is really short which disappointed me. "I'd just kinda hoped you'd learn it from a real guy." Haha Trey. When Adrian sold the cufflinks I thought he wasn't going to get them back but he did, barely. ... Which is how we ended up kissing and rolling around on the floor again. Haha I'm glad Adrian was able to get over Rose. Haha Trey is jealous of Angeline and Neil. 'It's amazing how nice people can be if they think you're going to die.' one of the best first lines in a chapter I've ever read. I was happy when Lissa and Sydney finally talked if even for a brief period of time. Treejitsu 😂 I thought Eddie was going to die in that fight against the Stigoi but luckily he didn't, I'm constantly worrying for people's lives here. THEN FINALLY EDDIE AND JILL KISS. IT'S ABOUT TIME. When Eddie showed up looking ravaged I was like WHO WAS TAKEN JILL OR SYDNEY? Yeah I found out it was Sydney as soon as we went to Sydney POV. I felt bad for Adrian and Sydney but I was happy to hear that Lissa could finally dream walk, lol yeah that's what I was thinking about in this part of the book. That and in the next book somebody better kick the alchemist's arses. 8.7/10 stars. SPOILERS FOR SILVER SHADOWS BELOW YES! I just finished this book an hour ago since I was working on my fifth blog all day yesterday. My first initial thoughts on this is Why doesn't Sydney pretend to be better so she can get out? which is what she finally decides to do. I also felt really bad for Hopper because he was stuck in his gold form until they got Sydney back. Okay I already wanted to kill Sydney's history or whatever teacher when he was like Oh yeah obviously the Guardians don't care about us because they aren't out killing strigoi. UH HELLO MOROI NEED PROTECTION AND NO WONDER THEY AREN'T PROTECTING YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE UNGRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING THEY'RE DOING FOR YOU. Then they ACCUSED MOROI OF HELPING THE STRIGOI and I just totally lost my head there. AND THEN they have the nerve to say Moroi aren't strong willed and I was like UH HELLO HAVE YOU MET CHRISTIAN OZERA AND LISSA DRAGOMIR? OH WAIT YOU HAVEN'T BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Yeah didn't tal them insulting the Moroi and Dhampirs very well to say the least. I thought it was kinda lame of Adrian to just leave without saying goodbye to anyone but then he went to see Lissa and Rose so it was okay. BUT then he yelled at Lissa and I could SEE Lissa's point so I was mad at Adrian for that. I was laughing at Hope when she got told off for being like Oh Sydney is such a horrible person. Then Adrian totally humiliated Wesley so I felt very satisfied with that. Then it turns out Emma isn't little miss perfect and she helps Sydney out which I really liked because they all ended up teaming together. Adrian was really annoying with all his getting drunk and stuff with Nina and then he got pissed at Sonya for saying back off about Nina, but then he got his karma for that when Nina got pissed at him for rejecting her so it's okay. He finally got around to trying to contact Sydney and I loved that talk, it was just touching how they FINALLY got to see each other. I decided even though Angeline has been pretty annoying in these books that she's better in this book and her and Trey together is really cute. Are Marcus and Carly going to be a thing? he seemed to like her when he met her. "Idaho's the gem state, not the potato state." Lol I liked that Marcus and Adrian were working together to save Sydney even though they don't exactly get along. When Trey said he was going to go and save Sydney for them I was afraid he was going to die, same will Eddie. I'm still curious who that blonde with the glasses was that came around looking Adrian and Sydney was. Ugh Duncan was being so annoying when he wouldn't help Adrian and Marcus by telling them what he knew. I already guessed that Chantel was probably in the same area where Sydney was and I think she's probably a magic user. The whole escaping from the casino was awesome, like the SUV blowing up and all. When they were escaping I was just like Why don't they go to court? The Alchemists would never go there, and eventually they finally do. Then they got married in Las Vegas and it was SO cute. Okay Sheridan really got on my nerves in this book, she was so annoying, wasn't she? Then I presume the alchemists took Jill, SOMEONE BETTER FREAKING GET HER BACK IN THE NEXT BOOK. STUPID NAME, GREAT SERIES So I freaking loved this series, it was amazing. I would rate the whole series all together 9.8/10 stars, yeah it was that good. Okay so this series has one of the most retarded (sorry!) names I've ever heard but it's actually really good. So if you haven't read it go read it. Now. Because it's one of my favorite books and I LOVE this series. Here's the synopsis St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . . Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever _________________________________________________ That synopsis doesn't actually sound like at all like the book, but just go and read the book, it's good. One of the things I loved about this series is that there's no main antagonist besides like the strigoi so you're kinda left with some surprise on who is the main antagonist in the book. My favorite book in the series is Spirit Bound, but my favorite part is the fight scene at the end of Blood Promise. My least favorite book is probably Frost Bite. My favorite characters are Adrian, Lissa, Christian and Rose. My one complaint is that the relationships move really fast like how they fall in love way too quickly or make up kinda fast, except for Lissa and Christian's relationship, I thought that was timed well. So if you haven't read the book go read it now and come back and read the review, because trust me, you DON'T want to be spoiled in this series. SPOILERS FOR VAMPIRE ACADEMY Okay so sorry if I don't always mention anything in the beginning because I usually forget to take notes until AFTER I start the book. Anyway, I really liked Christian, he has black hair and blue eyes and just like Magnus Bane, it's my favorite combination. Dimitri is one of those characters that I don't love but I don't not like (great grammar right?) Like he's just too... Good and responsible, I prefer the bad boys TBH. Except for Cricket. I loved Cricket. All the dead animals was really gross, especially the one on her bed, I would probably pass out if I found a dead animal on my bed. Because 1. I love animals 2. There would be blood all over my bed. Mia was a real butt in this book, but in books with High School in them there usually is one. "No I think it's hot." Ah I was dying at that, I loved Christian from the beginning. "And what I did to Ralf won't seem like anything." It was obvious when Jesse found out that Lissa had been feeding off of Rose that he was going to tell everyone I'm not sure why Rose thought he wouldn't. Another thing Christian related that I loved was his relationship with Lissa, since I like both of them I LOVE THEM TOGETHER. They're just such a cute couple. It was so obvious that Mason liked Rose, but also obvious it wouldn't work out since she was already sorta into Dimitri, which is sad because Mason is so cute and sweet. I did not like it when Rose told Christian that Lissa thought he was creepy, but I knew that was going to happen because.... well... I saw the movie first. A good thing about me watching the movie was when I watched it, it was online and the faces were really blurry so I could imagine the characters however I wanted without the Actor's face in my head. I noticed from the start that Lissa had really powerful compulsions, like I've seen The Vampire Diaries, lol, and in that only the Originals can compel other vampires. BTW I like the Originals better than the Vampire Diaries, if any of you are TO or TVD fans, TVD just sorta got too complicated. Plus (SPOILER) Damon died so yeah I'm still upset about that (SPOILER OVER) It was obvious that even though Christian was being an ass to Lissa that he still liked her but he was hurt by what Rose said. I thought that it was funny when Dimitri said he beat up his Moroi father. I liked him better after they talked about his dad, but I still didn't like like him, he's just too... serious isn't the right word, but that's the one I'm going to use. I bet Mason is going to die because everyone says that the Covenant Series is a rip off of this one and (SPOILERS) Caleb dies (SPOILERS OVER) I see the similarities, but I'm going to give Jen the benefit of the doubt and say she hadn't read the Vampire Academy Series while writing the Covenant Series. But we'll get to the comparing those two series in another blog post. By the Angel, when Mason protected her when like the other people were all calling Rose a blood whore and slut and stuff I just thought that was SO cute. Then when she said "Tell him I'm sorry" I was like AHAHHHHHHH FEELS. The whole thing with Lissa like turning everyone against Mia for Rose, like you could see she had good intentions but it turned her into someone else. Then Christian accused her of faking her feelings for Aaron (which she was) and kissed her and I just can't even describe how I was feeling then. Lissa and Christian are definitely my OTP for this book series. But then Lissa told Christian she hated him and slitted her wrist so that ruined the moment. Just a little. 'Ralf looked kind of like he wouldn't have minded' 😂 I was laughing so hard at that part. When Christian went after Lissa when she ran away from the dance, awwww, but then Christian got whacked in the head and Lissa got captured, they didn't really get a long happy moment really in this book, did they? "You're so beautiful it hurts me sometimes." DYING. "I'm a stowaway." Haha, Christian. The part where they saved Lissa from Victor and then Lissa drank from Rose to heal Christian was one of my favorite scenes in the book. "I won't throw myself in front of her. I'll throw myself in front of you." Even though I don't ship Rose and Dimitri I was STILL crying on the inside about that line. Overall I would rate this book a 9.9/10 AMAZING. SPOILERS FOR FROSTBITE Okay to start this out, why in Raziel's name is it called Frost Bite? Like I get all the other names... kinda, except Frost Bite. "I figured you'd have taken it and run by now." 😂 When Dimitri pulls out the stake. It was obvious to everyone, well, me, that Rose's mother really did love her, just in her own tough love way. And it was also obvious that Tasha liked Dimitri, sorry, Dimka, from the beginning too. I liked Tasha in this book, she was fun and nice. I thought that even though Lissa and Christian were officially together in this book that Lissa should still find some time to talk to her, I mean, they're best friends and Rose started keeping a lot from Lissa in this book, how she was feeling about Dimitri and all that stuff. I feel like if Rose had talked to Lissa about it she would feel less of a burden. I also get why Rose was jealous of Christian, it's normal, Lissa isn't all hers anymore. When Rose got dragged into Lissa's head when her and Christian were about to have sex I was just laughing 'it'd be like loosing my virginity virtually'. I was so scared for Mason when he fell on the ski slope, since I had a theory about him dying I was like flipping out, though him dying on the ski slope was pretty unlikely. I knew that there was an Adrian in Frost Bite and he'd be the main third point of the love triangle in the series so when that Moroi talked to her about her smell I was like ADRIAN and I was right. I think it was cute when Rose kissed Mason but I felt like she was just using him because she couldn't be with Dimitri, which, to be fair, she was. I didn't know Adrian was a Spirit User yet but when they shared a dream I was ecstatic since I already loved Adrian's character. I like Adrian more but it's obvious that Rose is going to choose Dimitri because the protagonist always pick their first love Clary and Jace Bella and Edward Tessa and Will Tessa and Jem Ruby and Liam (IF SHE SOMEHOW ENDS UP WITH CLANCY FREAKING GRAY I AM GOING TO BURN IN THE AFTER LIGHT) Alex and Aiden Katy and Daemon June and Day IDK who Cassie is going to choose but I hope it's Evan unless Ben improves Percy and Annabeth Hazel and Frank (I do not count Leo as a first love since that was Sammy) etc. I felt bad for Mia when her parents were killed and it reminded me of when LEA's parents were killed in Halfblood. I had a theory on Adrian being a spirit from the minute he started having an interest in talking to Lissa, and I was right. Then he sent Rose perfume and I was just awwwww. 'Good god. Men everywhere." Lol "That guy's your dad?" "That's what my mom says." and THAT is one of the reasons I love Adrian he's hilarious (it was more funny if you actually read it in the book) I didn't want her to dump Mason when she went to go and break up with him but I didn't want her going out with him because she didn't actually like him, yeah, conflicting emotions. When Mason's roommate said he wasn't there I immediately thought what if he's with Mia? and he was, just not in the way I thought, he, Mia and Eddie had gone to fight Strigoi, like idiots. I predicted from there that Mason was going to die. So I was flying to Iceland while reading this book so when I read that Christian was going with Rose I wrote this 'Christian better not freaking die or I will hurl this kindle across this plane and scream' it's good he didn't die because that would be a little awkward to explain. "Well, um, you see this fictional boy that I like died in the book I was reading, sorry for making you go to the hospital because my kindle fire hit you in the head, I'm sure that's not what you wanted to do when you came to Iceland." When Adrian contacted her through a dream to find her though.. I KNEW Mason wouldn't leave her when she told him to run, even though I knew he was going to die that doesn't mean I wasn't really sad hen he did die. I liked Mia and Rose's half friendship, it was cute but it kinda reminded me of Lea and Alex's sorta friendship so I thought Mia would probably die. 8.5/10 stars SPOILERS FOR SHADOW KISS BELOW She was virtually having sex with Christian again. 😂 So we didn't really know anything about Eddie because he didn't have anything to do with the story line before but now we really meet him in this book and I really liked him. When Rose got Christian to protect I was laughing so hard. "Picking out curtains, doing each other's hair, telling ghost stories...." Both Christian and Rose are jealous of each other's connection to Lissa which I found kinda funny. And IDK why this is so weirdly spaced, I apologized that I have no idea how to change it back. "You did not just say that. I have a feeling we're on the verge of hugging and coming up with nicknames for each other." "I already have a nickname for you, but I'll get in trouble if I say it in class." ____________ "I think you have a promising future as a housewife while Lissa worlds and makes millions of dollars." "Funny, exactly my dream." ____________ I could tell that Christian was jealous of Adrian from the beginning. It was obvious that the whole thing with Jesse was a set up so I was like DON'T GO WITH HIM and smart Christian didn't though, it wasn't really a set up and it wouldn't work that well on him since he sucked at compelling people. Rose had a fangirl 😂 Jill. Brett Ozera? I didn't realize the Ozera's had any other family so I was surprised to hear the name. So someone was beating up the royals and I was like, was is Mason's ghost? but yeah I was WAY off. Hey look, the formatting got back to normal. Yay, Adrian got them into the trial. I love him. When she got that head ache I literally wrote 'Oh shit what does this headache mean.' Like I said before I really like Eddie, but I feel bad for him since he blames himself for Mason's death. Tatiana seemed like a jerk but she wasn't to Adrian apparently. Like I also said earlier I think the relationships move really fast in these books like Adrian loves Rose really quickly and I feel like Dimitri did too I think it would be better if Richelle worked up to it a little more. I was surprised when Mia and Rose hugged. "It's called persuasion not harassment." It's really obvious as I said earlier that Christian does't like Adrian because he is jealous of him and Lissa, and I gotta admit that Adrian and Lissa would be a cute couple but I love their relationship already, it's kinds older brotherly which I find really cute. I always wanted a protective older brother (I've said that way too many times) "And I'm her favorite great nephew. Well, I'm her only great nephew, but that's not important. I'd still be her favorite." Ugh Victor and his note. -_- "I'd do a lot of things to protect you, Roza." Aw, still team Adrian though. When they did the tarot card thing and Dimitri's said he would loose what what he most valued I thought it meant Rose but nope it was his SOUL. When the ice storm happened and they and to land in the regular air port I was like SOME MOROI MADE THAT AND THEY'RE GONNA BE ATTACKED! but no... Rose was just attacked by some ghosts. I didn't like how they were kind of treating Lissa like a little innocent puppy, oh she can't know this it'll hut her. Sometimes not knowing things will hurt her too. "Then you'll never see us again and we'd be very sad." "Yes," said Christian. "I'd cry into my pillow every night." ______________________________________________________ Ugh Jesse and Ralf's club is retarded. They attack people to see if they can compel them? Ugh. Aw they said they loved each other (Dimitri and Rose) heck, I STILL prefer Adrian. It's so funny Adrian and Rose have this intense moment when they're ABOUT to kiss then the bell rings and "Now I can see Lissa," Adrian says happily. _____________________________________________________ The Strigoi are on campus but looking on the bright side Rose finally got her stake. I was SO scared Christian would die when he was fighting with Rose, like I'm always scared Christian will die, sometimes I swear authors kill people just to piss their fans off lol (VERONICA!!!) The first thing I thought after the battle was over was IS EDDIE OKAY?! and no. he wasn't but luckily they saved him. But lost Dimitri in the process. I've realized from these books that Richelle sets the books up then around 70% in she adds the main fight and the action, did you notice? "When you come back, will you give me a fair shot?" I was feeling like crying for Adrian at that point.. But then I was ACTUALLY on the verge of tears when Lissa had begged Rose to stay, ugh I hate it when friendships break up, even though theirs didn't it was just really sad. 9.5/10 stars SPOILERS FOR BLOOD PROMISE BELOW "You're the only one I want, Rose." Seriously , I would SO give up on Dimitri for Adrian. So in that prophecy she got about her and the dead I was like okay this is going to be a big thing, not really, she calls upon the dead once accidentally to help her in a Strigoi. So we meet Sydney in this book, I didn't know much about the Bloodlines series, but I knew that Sydney was the main character of it so I paid close attention to her in the VA series. Haha, ironic that she went out to go and kill Dimitri and ends up staying with his family. So when Avery is all nice to Lissa all these alerts went off in my brain IS SHE TRYING TO SET HER UP TO LOOK BAD? IS THIS SOME TYPE OF PLAN?! yeah, I'm that paranoid about my books. When Yeva made Rose carry garden bricks I was laughing my head off. Ugh then Rose started acting all bitchy and she like started yelling at Adrian over the dream about Avery and stuff, like I get she's taking away Lissa's anger but I was upset when she yelled at Adrian. I got really mad when Rose got captured by Dimitri I just wanted her to kill him because it was what he wanted plus I like Adrian... (she says guiltily.) I was SO upset when Christian and Lissa broke up like What? what? no this isn't happening. So (Apologies I say 'so' and 'lol' way to often) I had this crazy idea that Oksana was Avery's MOM and that Avery was a spirit (after Rose got kicked out of Lissa's head) well, half that crazy theory was right, but the whole mom thing was a little too far out there. When Rose killed Dimitri I was almost cheering but then I was like, wait a minute Rose can see the dead, is that how she and Dimitri are going to continue come of their relationship? Nope he just wasn't dead. Okay then. This book kinda bothered me because of Rose's separation from Lissa also because she was stuck with Dimitri for a really long time. So I figured out Avery was a spirit before they said it, but when she was trying to get Lissa to jump out of the window I was like SOMEBODY KILL THIS BITCH then I added Adrian maybe? lol. 'And that's when something truly beautiful happened. Lissa socked him in the nose.' this was my favorite scene for a lot reasons one of them begin it's easy for like Rose to fight because that's what she's trained to do but Lissa? she's never fought before so it was fun to read. I have no idea why but I found it funny that they were all trying to compel Simon to do different things. When we found out Victor's brother was a spirit user I was just like OHHH that's how he knew so much about spirit. But I read it wrong and thought Robert was BONDED to a spirit user not a spirit user, hey give me a break I was jet lagged in Iceland, as opposed to being jet lagged in America, lol. So I thought oh Abe must be her dad or know her dad because he obviously cares for her and then CALLED IT! I love being right, I'll admit it. "There was poetry in that motion." I love how proud Rose if of Lissa punching Reed. "But I dropped out." "Then drop back in!" ______________ Okay Okay ADRIAN AND ROSE SAID IT! Ugh when we found out Dimitri was alive I was just like NOOOO I want Rose and Adrian together. 9/10 stars SPOILERS FOR SPIRIT BOUND I love watching people who are still in love with each other sorta edge around the other so I found this book hilarious for Christian and Lissa's relationship (still my OTP for this series I just predicted they'd be back together sometime). It's funny that they both got so jealous when the other talked to anyone of the opposite sex. 'And by girl stuff I mean breaking and entering.' You got it, Rose, it's my favorite thing to do, how'd you know? Ugh I didn't want them to break Victor out JUST LEAVE DIMITRI AND STAY WITH ADRIAN HE'S AMAZING but obviously that wasn't going to happen. "Did you know," He said slowly. "That Victor Dashkov is sitting on your bed?" Ah I loved the break out scene it was awesome. Though, I'm disappointed that they never went back to the mental place to check out the spirit users there, I thought since Richelle mentioned it that she would weave that back in, but she didn't, though when I heard there were spirit users there I was like AVERY IS THERE. I felt so bad for Adrian because she was only with him because she couldn't be with Dimitri and she'd dump him in the blink of an eye if Dimitri said he loved her. "Gentle girl or drunken sod?" Lol. So they mentioned how Eric went to like the strip club or something so why would Richelle mention that if it wasn't important? Ah Christian is suspicious of Rose, good smart boy. Christian offers to go and teach Lissa how to stake strigoi so he can be around her aww but Rose 'Oh I'll teach them how to fight, starting with punching Christian in the face' lol. She says something similar about Serena. I really like that Lissa wants to learn to fight, I don't want her to be helpless. "You knocked out Reed Lazar. Rose mentioned it, like, a hundred times. I've never heard her so proud of something." 'Punching Reed Lazar had been a beautiful thing.' Aw when Christian shielded her with his body I was practically drowning in the feels. 'She increased the stakes- no pun intended'. lol When Christian brought the ring of fire around Dimitri and Lissa stuck her arm through it to try and stake him it was so intense. Oh right, when Lissa and Christian were training together ahh hilarious, so much sexual tension. "It would take a lot for that to change." and then she lay against his chest and he whispered happy birthday to him. I WAS drawing in the feels there. When Dimitri was describing being strigoi it reminded me of Jace in City of Lost Souls, he was there but not really. Christian still being really protective of Lissa THE FEELS THE FEELS As I've said before Lissa and Adrian have a really cute brother/sister relationship and I would have liked to see more of that, heck I kinda just want the whole series to have another series of the same thing from Lissa's point of view. Not-so-subtle mask, nice job Christian. 'Adrian apparently got the passwords for half the party' lol I feel bad for the guard people they have to like memorize all the passwords. 'Okay, it was hard for me to imagine him involved with anyone. His getting together with Lissa was monumental.' "It's not my fault I'm a genius." Ugh she keeps betraying Adrian for Dimitri STOP IT ADRIAN LOVES YOU!!!!! Her screaming at the queen was a bad rash move on Rose's part. Rose and Adrian get back together but she's eventually going to choose Dimitri I'll bet on it :( "That was the best not-sex ever." "There's only one person I have ever wanted." I just died of the feels. 9.9/10 stars SPOILERS FOR LAST SACRIFICE I felt really bad for Adrian off the bat, his great-aunt is dead and his girl friend- whom he loves- is in prison and will drop him at the first sign that Dimitri wants her back. I didn't believe Adrian was out drunk for a minute so the real question was where was he really and what were they moving too fast on? "Breaking out of jail is okay. But steal a car, and you sound totally outraged." Okay I thought Rose was being an idiot when she ran away but it wouldn't be nearly as interesting a book if she just sat in West Virginia, actually, she could meet Daemon and Katy! When Joshua proposed to her and then Angeline was like 'Fine you can marry my brother' I was dying of laughter. I thought that when Angeline ran off into the woods to cry that she would follow them or something but nope, though she does have a part in the bloodlines series, a kinda annoying part. Yay when Lissa got nominated by her friends to be queen I was cheering in my head, though, not out loud that's be awkward because I was on a plane to London. Lissa is smart so I knew she'd be able to pass the tests and that eventually she'd probably became queen. After hearing so much about Mrs. Karp we finally meet her, she's a lot younger than I thought she was. GO LISSA! (When she lights the fire) "You can call me Lissa." "You can also let go of her hand now." "I've seen you too. Ozera. Crispin, right?" 😂 _________________________________________________ "So what brings you and Christopher here?" "CHRISTIAN." ___________________________________ I was really suspicious of Daniella about killing Tatiana but it seemed like the obvious choice so obviously it wasn't her (did that make any sense?) "Oh and Kreskin too." The fight between Sonya and Robert was pretty intense since they both know their spirit abilities. Lissa's dream was like her own fear serum. When they were talking about Liss's sibling Jill was actually my first guess because of a line that caught my attention back in Spirit bound about Lissa kinda reminding her of Jill, but how awesome would it be if Adrian was Lissa's sibling? I'm STILL not really sure if I like Jill as a Dragomir I kinda found her a little annoying. "Make a toga out of a blanket?" Poor Eddie, he was just doing his job of protecting Lissa. I was FLIPPING out at Rose when she cheated on Adrian, it pissed me off so much I can't even put it into words. Victor's death seemed really swift to me, like he's always been a villain hovering in the background since book 1 so it was surprising finally seeing him dead, but poor Robert. For the question about the queen my first answer was Trust but apparently the answer is nothing. Ugh Rose just used Adrian :( Poor Adrian :*( 'Under the irrational assumption that anyone in nice clothes must be royal and all royals hated Lissa' LOL Aw Sonya and Mikhail reunited that was so cute. When Adrian saw Dimitri kiss Rose's head I was so sad for him. The killer was so obviously not Daniella because they were avoiding saying his/her name, but I was not expecting it to be Tasha, that was a big plot twist for me, poor Christian though. Then poor Adrian after his fight with Rose. I don't like that their bond is broken, and as I predicted Lissa became queen. At the end of this book I'm still unsure of how I feel about Jill and I was very unsatisfied with the ending of this book, I WANT MORE ROSE LISSA ADRIAN AND CHRISTIAN. Really that's the only reason I read the Bloodlines series, but we'll get to my review on that series later. I would rate Last Sacrifice 9.8/10 stars it was really good. This book was amazing--- one of my favorites. I would give it a 9/10 stars. It's a mystery/romance contemporary novel about a girl- Lucy who goes to prom with her best friend's boyfriend when her best friend gets sick. The thing is- she's always had a crush on him ever since she met him. Apparently it wasn't just her. So they end up kissing. Then someone takes a picture of them and posts it onLucy's Facebook along with a bunch of other incriminating pictures of their classmates. Ellie, Lucy's best friend is now pissed off at her along with the rest of her class so Lucy decides to get to the bottom of this so to speak and find out who took the pictures and who posted them on Facebook. If that does' sound interesting I understand, cuz I wrote it, here's the official synopsis. Lucy’s learned some important lessons from tabloid darling Jayla Heart’s all-too-public blunders: Avoid the spotlight, don’t feed the Internet trolls, and keep your secrets secret. The policy has served Lucy well all through high school, so when her best friend Ellie gets sick before prom and begs her to step in as Cole’s date, she accepts with a smile, silencing about ten different reservations. Like the one where she’d rather stay home shredding online zombies. And the one where she hates playing dress-up. And especially the one where she’s been secretly in love with Cole since the dawn of time.
When Cole surprises her at the after party with a kiss under the stars, it’s everything Lucy has ever dreamed of… and the biggest BFF deal-breaker ever. Despite Cole’s lingering sweetness, Lucy knows they’ll have to ’fess up to Ellie. But before they get the chance, Lucy’s own Facebook profile mysteriously explodes with compromising pics of her and Cole, along with tons of other students’ party indiscretions. Tagged. Liked. And furiously viral. By Monday morning, Lucy’s been branded a slut, a backstabber, and a narc, mired in a tabloid-worthy scandal just weeks before graduation. Lucy’s been battling undead masses online long enough to know there’s only one way to survive a disaster of this magnitude: Stand up and fight. Game plan? Uncover and expose the Facebook hacker, win back her best friend’s trust, and graduate with a clean slate. There’s just one snag—Cole. Turns out Lucy’s not the only one who’s been harboring unrequited love.. Well, the whole best friend and the boyfriend got me intrigued from the beginning I always love a good love triangle (though in real life that would be a pain) but this story wasn't so much about the love triangle, it was more about finding out who hacked Lucy's Facebook. That was a plot twist for sure. So go read this book then come back and we can compare reviews :) SPOILERS Cole sounds amazing from the beginning. Green eyes, brown hair... mhmmm. hot. Though, like Magnus Bane my personal favorite combination is black hair and blue eyes, though I don't mind green eyes. 4% into the book I discovered a spelling error *gasp* it says taking instead of talking. So Cole kisses Lucy under the stars and someone takes a picture of them. Then Lucy decides she needs to get over Cole and kisses Marceau. When Cole sees them he gets pissed off. But seriously I would've thought he would've been a little more mad a Lucy than just forgiving her and sleeping with her. Key word sleeping, they didn't SLEEP together. Okay so I figured out someone stole her phone as soon as she said it was missing. But seriously, have they not heard of putting a passcode on their phones? So Miss Demeanor I figured out she was one of Lucy's friends from the time she started helping Lucy out. Miss Demeanor was just a watered down lamer version of Gossip Girl. Actually literally when you find out who Miss Demeanor is--- Franklin. Because (GOSSIP GIRL SPOILERS) Gossip Girl is Dan so.... (SPOILER OVER) Jayla sounds like a pretty awesome sister. Especially when she takes Lucy shopping. I want a sister like that, unfortunately I'm stuck with the one I already have. Though, Jayla in California sounded like kinda a butt. Cole sounds like a good guy, he wanted to apologize to Ellie and he waned to help Lucy out. Not like some boys in that situation would. So this whole thing with Ellie made me want to cry. I hate it when you can literally feel and see your friendship slipping out of your grasp. So I got upset over how frayed and broken Lucy and Ellie's friendship got and I didn't like where it ended in the book and how they weren't friends but they were talking. If I want the truth to set me free, I have to track it down. Good line there. It creeped me out to think that someone was in the closet watching them, though that actually wasn't true. (e)VIL Sounds really weird, against vanity technology. So I'm sure selfies will give them a heart attack when Instagram comes into style. (e)VIL in the gym with Jay was funny. I wanted more of Cole in these books I mean seriously she spent more time with Franklin than Cole and if this whole thing started when they kissed I think Cole should have been in it more. Then there was Cole's confession in the words ending with them sleeping sleeping together. In the woods guys, really? It was muddy apparently. When Jayla was talking to Lucy while she was in the bath, I just thought that was such a cute sisterly bonding moment. "I'm in love with Lucy." akldfcuhv that was cute, but Cole really needs to work on his timing, I mean seriously, right in front of Ellie? I'm not leaving my future wife out to dry. LOL Ash. It was cute when Ellie came and stood up for Lucy in front of Haley and Olivia. But then she sort of just left so.... Olivia, seriously was being a total bitch to Lucy, though if a girl in my class had posted a picture of my vomiting, kissed the guy I really liked and got me grounded maybe for life I might be a bitch to her too. I thought that maybe Ellie or Griff were Miss Demeanor since Miss Demeanor did so many things to help Lucy out but nope it was Franklin. I felt really bad for Jay when she broke down crying about being fired. I thought that maybe Franklin might like Lucy when he started avoiding her a bunch and when he apologized I thought it was for him posting something on like the Juicy Lucy page out of jealousy over Cole. But nope as awesome of a plot twist as that would've been, he apologized for being Miss Demeanor. I felt badly for Franklin afterwards because Lucy was so pissed at him. Ugh what can i say despite how I act I'm a very empathetic person. IT TURNED OUT TO BE GRIFF who took the pictures and sent them in. I was NOT expecting that one. Big plot twist, nice one Sarah. Lucy did the right thing not showing her evidence. But IDK If I would've done the same thing. Lust for revenge can really take you over sometimes and I'm the type to hold a very long grudge.... I'm not sure if I liked the ending much but it was cute but I want to see Ellie and Lucy friends again. Look what I actually got around to reading! I actually read this on May 26, 2014 (remember how I posted a crap load of reviews on that weekend?) but as of the fact that I was at my cousins who live in the middle of practical no where their internet broke. So I finally got around to reviewing this book :). It's kinda a coming of age romance story. For me it was a very cutesy book that I would read when I had a lot of time to spare but not one that I would leap at to reread. I would rate this book a 6/10 stars. I liked it but I wasn't hooked. It's not exactly my type of book if you've read a bunch of my good reviews you'd know my ideal type of book is Romance/Action/Adventure Y/A book. So I liked it, but I didn't love it. Here is the synopsis in case you want to read it:Two misfits.
One extraordinary love. Eleanor... Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough...Eleanor. Park... He knows she'll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises...Park. Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try _________________________________________________ So anyway if that sounded interesting to you and you want to buy the physical book click here. Not sure if I am going to buy it for my bookshelf or not. I am going to read Fangirl someday because Ursula absolutely loves it. So if you're reading this, I'M GOING TO READ THAT BOOK EVENTUALLY. I also plan on reading Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. I'm not sure about Landline, though. I have SO many new books I want to read and the summer's almost over! :( But then of course I can still stay awake for all hours during the school year, though I don't want a rerun of two years ago in which I fell asleep during class like one a month (I stayed up very late watching TV....) So this book.... I liked that for once, this is going to sound terrible that a character isn't like perfectly in shape, it shows that you can have your own story when you aren't well, perfect looking. I liked that about it. I wasn't the biggest fan of the some of Eleanor and Park's characteristics but I can deal with it. There were a lot of cute moments where I was just like AWWWWWW between P&E and I liked that too, very adorable. So I recommend this book if you have some free time to read, it's cute and makes you think... kinda. I hear there will be a sequel book like 10 years later some day but that may just be a rumor IDK. So go read this book if you haven't read it and then come back and we can compare thoughts :D SPOILERS I didn't get why everyone was such arses to the new kid? Like when there are new people in my year my group of friends is sort of like... tightly knit so we take a while to let anyone new in but we're not like giant arses to anyone new. Like Tina was being a butt face to Eleanor just because she was new, which I just didn't get. Maybe it's just my school that's not totally bitchy to new people or maybe it was just back in the time of the book, I don't know. Park was being a jerk to Eleanor in the beginning too, I didn't like that. Eleanor seems to have a very trying life, like I felt so bad for her while reading. Especially because of Rich, he seemed like a grade A arse. I found it kinda cute when Eleanor started reading his comics and he took longer to turn the pages so she could read it. That would be the beginning of their relationship in my opinion. When Park got nervous about not having any new comics for Eleanor, I just thought that was adorable. WARNING I WILL BE SAYING ADORABLE AND CUTE A LOT IN THIS. Then I was so in cute bliss when Park made Eleanor a playlist and she listened to it all the time and Park asked for a bunch of batteries so he could give them to Eleanor. I did not like Rich from the beginning. He just didn't sound like a good guy and that Eleanor just had the wrong idea. Why I didn't like him from the start was because Eleanor's mother went out of her way to make him happy and if he was actually a good guy she wouldn't have to do that. It didn't seem like her mom did that out of love for Rich, just to avoid his rage. Then he hit her mom and gave her a hickey after like beating her. Why in Raziel's name was she still with him? It was sweet when Park let Eleanor use his headphones. I felt SO bad for Eleanor when she said she used salt because she didn't have a toothbrush. Like I take brushing my teeth for granted and reading about that kinda grossed me out and depressed me at the same time. When Eleanor likes Park she calls him by his real name, then they finally start talking it's really cute. It was so obvious when they started liking each other because they noticed the other's habits and hair. Then Park came over and brought his comic book and they read it together AWWWWWWWWWWW. I was listening to She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 when they were reading the comic and I was just so in the cute zone. Then they were holding hands and SO CUTE!!!!!!!!! Was it possible to rape someone's hand? lol that was funny. Mondays were the best and Saturdays were the worst--- now that is seriously love. The only reason she wants to babysit is to talk to Park, that was adorable! Then the phone call was MORE ADORABLE. And he got sorta protectively mad over her book, which I loved. The fact that she got nervous about meeting his parents, well don't we all get nervous about meeting our boyfriend/girlfriend's parents for the first time? Then Park got in a fight for Eleanor, that was so cute, I want a boy who would fight for me! (Jace Herondale maybe? Or a Daemon Black....) RICHIE I WANTED HIM TO DIE AND GET REJECTED BY HELL BECAUSE OF HIS CHARACTER. He needs to BUY his children more things. I don't care if they're his step children, at least by the things they need! I loved Park's parents, especially his mom. How she didn't like Eleanor but then she saw all her siblings and started to like her more because she understood how hard it was? So cute. I got really freaked out over the gunshots. She was only trying to do the right thing, Rich a.k.a SEBASTIAN MORGENSTERN LEVEL When Eleanor stayed for dinner and they kissed AWWW. Then later her dad is just like, you can stay for dinner whenever, I was like THIS IS ADORABLE I LOVE PARK'S FAMILY. (You don't hear a lot about Josh which is realistic because some people are very distant from their siblings and don't really notice them a lot) Park was being an idiot when he took Tina's side, like no, you always take your girlfriend's side over your ex's. They literally were with each other 24/7 it was cute but a little annoying that they didn't have lives apart from each other, I wish Park had other friends that he could like talk to about Eleanor and get advice from and stuff. But they're both misfits so.. OMG when Park's mom had makeover night with Eleanor? SO CUTE. I loved how she gave her make up and stuff to keep. Though, when Park started wearing make up, I get his statement that he wanted to be himself, but I did not like that, I just thought it was weird. Park and Eleanor's date was really cute. \ I liked that Tina was being nice to Eleanor in the end because she sort of understood her, you know? EW it was Rich that was writing that stuff, which is so messed up. The end, WHY DIDN'T ELEANOR CONTACT PARK?! that pissed me off so much. Then she sends him one postcard it's like NO he likes you! I wanted a happy ending -_- During the end I was listening to Down by Jason Walker and it was really depressing. So that's all I've got to say! Watch my twitter for more posts :) I'm going to England, Iceland and Scotland in a week and I'm so excited, I've never been to Europe! :D So first off-- THIS MOVIE IS IN GERMAN. Unfortunately I do not speak German, but fortunately I found it in English after a lot of web searching I found this website that allows you to stream it in English free no account needed click here to watch it. I was not sure what I thought of this movie. First off it's nothing like the book. Like very very very very very very very very (x1000000000) loosely based. But like I said, not as bad as City of Bones or Percy Jackson. To read my Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Emerald Green review click here. First off I did not exactly like the actor choice. Second, seriously would it ever hurt the directer to actually write it according to the book? You'll never hear a book fan say 'God that was wayyy to much like the book, I hated it'. I did not like Gideon in the first book because he was an ass. I didn't like Gideon in the movie because he was downright annoying. The end scene of the book is like in the beginning of the movie and in the book when they are all like 'she must see the count!' in the movie they're like 'she shouldn't see him, no' and the prophecies, oh dear raziel, first off they changed the prophecy second they were more of a nursery rhyme that everyone knew!! Not some forbidden thing. Also you don't find out she's
SPOILER Immortal until the last book! SPOILER OVER So yeah this movie kinda pissed me off more than I liked it. I'd give it a 5/10 stars. This is an action/adventure/romance/sci-fi movie. I guess it didn't help that the voices spoke differently from the people since they were actually speaking german..... Oh yeah, and I'm not being racist here, I have no problem with Lesley being black but in the book she's described as vein blonde with blue eyes and I'm a stickler for the book, so that upset me. And SINCE WHEN is there a dance at the end of Ruby Red? I think I missed that part, oh wait, it doesn't actually exist -_- If you are friends with me on goodreads then you know, these books have been on me to-read list for a while. I finally got to reading Ruby Red yesterday. It was AMAZING! I love these books so much! Ruby Red was my least favorite book in the series, it started off kinda slow in my opinion but by the end of the book I HAD to buy Sapphire Blue ASAP. I can't decide which book I like better, Sapphire Blue or Emerald Green. I just finished Emerald Green literally fifteen minutes ago. So I would rate these books- Ruby Red 7/10 then Sapphire Blue 9.8/10 and Emerald Green a 9.8/10 also. Bravo! Overall I would rate this whole series a 9/10 stars. I recommend this to anyone, just wait through the beginning-- it's pretty boring but no worries it gets really good! :D If you want to buy these books yourself click here for the paperbacks and here for the hardcover of Ruby Red here for the hardcover of Sapphire Blue here for the hardcover of Emerald Green I LOVE hardcover books and I am most definitely buying these books in hardcover. (I buy them on my kindle first then if I like them I get them in hardcover) This book series-- wow. I am still getting over the ending to Emerald Green. It was fairly short, I would love it if they added like 300 pages into each book (I mean, I was able to finish the whole series in a day). It had a few confusing parts but I got over them. Also A LOT of foreshadowing that I figured out way before they actually said it. Here is the summery for Ruby Red (Book 1) Gwyneth Shepherd's sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era! Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon--the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust. To me, that didn't sound all that interesting, but I read it anyway and can I just say I was not disappointed. Like I said before, the series gets better from the end of book 1. There was a movie made out of Ruby Red, in German sadly but I'm going to see if I can find it with English subtitles though I heard it's nothing like the book, but I HAVE TO SEE IT. It can't be worse than City of Bones or Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters and The Lightning Thief. Those were just insulting. Here is the English version of the Trailer for Ruby Red Looks okay... But there's no way it could be better than its books. Actually no movie can be better than the book. SO GO READ THESE BOOKS and come back so we can compare thoughts. :) SPOILERS FOR RUBY RED
When I read about Charlotte in the description of the book I thought I'd hate her, I kinda did for a bit but then she showed a nice-ish side so I was very confused. (I got over that later I DO NOT like Charlotte) But I knew for sure from the beginning- I would despise living with Arista and Glenda. I would probably get a migraine every day. From the first mention of Gideon in the book I was like HE IS THE LOVE INTEREST. There were no doubts in my mind. Just like the first mention of Tobias in Divergent. Glenda, I can't even count the number of times I just wanted to jump into the literature and punch that woman in the face. Like when she was shrieking about how her little sister is lying for attention, why in the world would she do that?!!! At first I thought the prologue was Gideon and Gwen but then it turned out to be Paul and Lucy, who, by the way, I like a lot. I did feel some empathy for Charlotte after all she'd trained her whole life for this, but then she went on and was a snotty brat about it so me feeling bad about it didn't last long. I THOUGHT from the beginning that Lucy and Paul were good. I'm so used to authors plot twists that I saw that one coming. I also thought from the moment that Grace didn't want Gwen to see the count- ALERT ALERT THE COUNT IS EVIL. I was very unsure of what to think of Gideon from the beginning. He's cocky but not like Jace, Will, Nine, Gabriel M., Daemon B. Damon S. etc. I was just very confused on whether or not I liked him or not. I didn't like him at first but now I do so that's cleared up. I decided that the count was as I wrote a 'pansy cake' from the moment he dissed the feminine race, then he choked Gwen so then I defiantly didn't like him. Choking the protagonist does't really earn you points unless it's a really annoying protagonist, which, Gwen was only annoying, no need to add the really. Another excuse is if you're the love interest *couch* *cough* Peeta Mellark and Tobias Eaton *cough* *Cough* which the count was not, thank Raziel. I was very suspicious when the people attacked them on the carriage ride back, though it was about time some action came into the book. "And dammit it was rather brave of you," I started liking Gideon after that. I was very confused, wondering if it was Lucy and Paul who wanted them dead, but it wasn't it was Alistair or however you spell it. When Gideon came to pick Gwen up in the limo. I was literally cracking up because Gordan was like "Please tell me he's your gay cousin" "He's gay" "He's gay" "He's gay" LOL. If only I had emoji on this. Then when Gideon was just like "Have you grown overnight?" I was hysterical. Robert is such a cutie, I felt really bad after hearing his story. Gideon sounded jealous when he was asking about Gordan, but he wasn't exactly allowed to be jealous since he kissed Charlotte.... on the cheek. Personally if Char was my delightful cousin I would have beaten the crap out of her (Who cares if she knows Krav Maga or whatever, okay maybe I would take a frying pan or something with me Jocelyn Fairchild has proved to us all that those are very useful) okay I probably wouldn't have beaten the crap out of her, just her insufferable ego. I LOVED THIS PART 'He grabbed her with both arms and held her close. "Don't you touch her!" ' I mean it was just Paul but that was cute you gotta admit. "As if she were his favorite teddy bear" I love Paul. It was so funny when he was like "He pulled her along with him everywhere I would never do that!" Then Lucy said something like that "You did do that." tehe I love Paul and Lucy. The hair she gets from me. I was just like ..... What? Is she Lucy and Paul's daughter????? Then Lucy said Gwen was in love with Gideon and I was just like, well, we all knew that. This series takes place in like 2 weeks, like I said earlier, very short series. "When I next see him, I'm going to tell him to keep his hands off her." Ah Paul.... SPOILERS FOR SAPPHIRE BLUE When I read the name I was like OMG will Lucy be a bigger part?..... Nope. "If I ever catch up with Larry Coleman, I'll punch him in the nose." I really love that all the epilogues and prologues are from Paul's POV. It really pissed me off during that book when they're all PAUL AND LUCY ARE MENACES. OBVIOUSLY not. It's like they're idiots-- how could they not see Paul and Lucy were not evil?? When Gwen first saw the Gargoyle I thought he'd have a big part, I just didn't realize how big a part in these books. "You have a mother?" Aha. "And I can fly too!" that just makes me smile. Xemerius is definitely one of my favorites in these books. "There are rules." "No picking my nose, no ruse words, no scaring dogs," Chanted the gargoyle. (Just imagine him doing that many times before) "Will you buy me a cat?" I was so curious to know what exactly Gwen DOES in the future because of Gideon being whacked in the head. When Charlotte was like smirking at Gwen I just was like WHY DOESN'T SHE HAVE XEMERIUS SPIT ALL OVER HER HEAD?? I was really hoping that'd happen sometime, sadly not. You know how you can feel the protagonists embarrassment? I was feeling so embarrassed when I read "What's Charlotte like at kissing?" Like I had to look away from the book for a bit. Then they're kissing again on the couch, or as Xemi might say, the haystack. Then Raphael joined the game by running away from the home and coming to England. Any TMI fans reading this? Wasn't it weird having a Raphael? When someone hit Gideon in the head and he said he saw Gwen I was like, what if she ends up teaming up with Paul and it was Paul? OR MAYBE it was GIDEON that hit himself in the head in the future. Like seriously that is on my notes. "He's cursing under his breath nonstop which I guess is a good sign." I didn't exactly understand what her power was, was it seeing the dead? I took a wild guess to say that argument Gwen saw between her and Gideon was at the ball. Raph and Gideon were both flirting with Char, boys these days, that's what I wrote lol. I don't remember why, but I wrote GIDEON -> ARSE HAT so I assume it was because he was being an arse hat. When Xemi said that Raphael fell fast asleep during the movie then talking about the dinner, Giordano is terribly afraid Gwyneth will get everything wrong tomorrow that she can get wrong Gideon: Pass the olive oil, please Char: Politics and history are a closed book to Gwyneth. She can't even remember the names- they go in one ear and straight out the other. She can't help it, her brain doesn't have the capacity. It's stuffed with the names of boy bands and long cast lists of actors in soppy romantic films. Raphael: Gwyneth is your time-traveling cousin, right? I saw her yesterday at school. Isn't she the one with the long dark hair and blue eyes? Char: Yes, and that birthmark on her temple, the one that looks like a little banana. Gideon: Like a little crescent moon. Raphael: What's that friend of hers called? The blonde with freckles? Lily? Char: Lesley Hay. Rather brighter than Gwyneth, but she's a wonderful example of the way people get to look like their dogs. Hers is a shaggy golden retriever crossbreed called Bertie. Raphael: That's cute! Char: You like dogs? Raphael: Especially golden retriever crossbreeds with freckles Char: I see. Well, you can try your luck. You won't find it particularly difficult. Lesley gets through even more boys than Gwyneth. Gideon: Really? How many... er, boyfriends has Gwyneth had? Char: Oh, my God! This is kind of embarrassing. I don't want to speak ill of her, it's just that she's not very discriminating. Particularly when she's had a drink. She's done the rounds of almost all the boys in out class and the class above us... I guess I lost track at some point. I'd rather not repeat what they call her. Raphael: The school mattress? Gideon: Pass the salt, please. I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did otherwise I just spent that much times typing that word for word for nothing. I hate it/love it when the protagonist gets drunk because it's embarrassingly entertaining. Maddy's vision was really obvious, wasn't it? The Lion- Gideon obviously and the ruby heart was obviously Gwen. And it turned out to be true that he was KINDA playing her not really kinda. I knew as soon as the epilogue started that how Gideon got that cut was he had haloed Paul. I liked that he did though, and then Paul tossed him the papers and I was like YESSS. SPOILERS TO EMERALD GREEN Gideon did no trust break Gwen's heart, he shattered it. which was kinda depressing to read about. The pigeon convo, I ATE THE PIGEON from Xemi, that was pretty funny. I really ship Raphael and Lesley, what did you think of them? I thought they were quite the cute couple. That embarrassing moment where he says just friends? and she screams YOU BASTARD! I like Mr. George he seems the most trustworthy of the Inner Circle. When Falk asked about Grace having a steady boyfriend I was just like, Oh, he so misses her. I loved Lucas, he was awesome, pisses you off knowing that the count killed him doesn't it? It never once crossed my mind that maybe the first chronograph was in the box, but then she and Lucas figured it out and I was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS lol. "See you tomorrow-- unfortunately" I guessed right away when they said the key had been missing i was just like, it's the key she gave Lesley, and look who was right. Char really needed to keep her nose out of other people's business she was being a real bitch in this book. When Raphael was trying to make Lesley jealous by going to the cinema with Cindy. Or was it Cara? lol. Why was Dr. White helping Gwen out by saying she was sick, I still don't understand that. I guessed that the Ruby has to die when the circle was complete from the beginning, I mean it was pretty obvious, for me at least. Xemi was so cute and protective of Gwen and we all know how much I adore the protective characters. (Giving Gideon a nasty look lol) Sorry I say lol too much, I'm working on it. I'm kinda curious why she didn't just tell Gideon that it was her behind the curtain, but whatever. Wow I never suspected Lavinia to be a part in the murder of Gwen and Gideon, did you? Then she died and came back, I thought that might be part of the power of the Raven, but nope turns out she's immortal. As usual, Glenda was being a pain in the arse, no wonder Char is such a brat, just look at her mother and I'm not surprised she and Charles got divorced, too bad it wasn't before she had darling Charlotte though. Gideon being Gollum lol. I love LOTR. That must be it, I haven't showered yet! Awkward that I was right about Paul and Lucy being her parents. That means she's kinda distantly related to Gideon. I'm glad they used Madam Rossini's costumes for the party though I kinda guessed they would. Those. Are. From. 1932. Not. 1912. LOL That part was just too good. "Will you be coming around more?" "I'm afraid so, yes." -Xemi "I hope so, yes." -Gideon "I'll... I'll spit torrents of water over them!" Very threatening, Xemi. Charlotte being drunk was embarrassingly delightful, not sure how you felt about that but I felt bad for her and was laughing at the same time. Oh look another one of my predictions was right, Gideon did hit himself in the head, it's funny because Gwen was freaking out over that and Gideon was like "He'll be fine" It was very amusing when she was looking between both the older and younger Gideon and the older was like making hand motions and the younger was like "What the hell are you doing here?" It kinda reminded me of Hook from Once Upon A Time knocking himself out. Kinda. "Is it because I don't kiss properly?" Like mother like daughter. Right Lucy? I never thought Whitman was the count I thought maybe Thomas because he was so nice but nope it was Whitman. I was like GIDEON IS NOT DEAD, and thank Raziel he wasn't how horrible would that be for an ending. Well, it could be very Romeo Juliet like the count said. BUT GIDEON IS IMMORTAL!!! I didn't like that we didn't get much closure on Gideon/Gwen since he went off to college, I mean I guess they have eternity together, but WE DON'T GET TO HEAR ABOUT IT!!! I ALSO did not like that she never actually told Gideon that she could see ghosts, unless I missed that part which I'm fairly sure I didn't. Lucy is pregnant again! (LOOKING FOR LUX PART? SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF REVIEW)
These books were good, if you looked at my goodreads you would see I rated all of them 4/5 stars except Sentinel which got 5/5 stars. So I would rate Deity a 8/10 stars. It was a really fun read, just not my favorite. Apollyon 7/10 I took off a star because Alex was kind of annoying me in that book and Sentinel 9/10 I loved that one. Then the side books, Daimon a 7/10 I read this after I finished the series so it didn't pique my interest much especially since I was still flipping out over the end of Sentinel. And Elixir 7.7/10 it was nice having it from Aiden's POV though, well I get to it later. So if you have no idea what I'm talking about and you're looking for a fun read, I'd suggest reading Halfblood by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout because they are very fun reads. Personally I prefer the Lux series to the Covenant Series but that doesn't mean I don't love this series as well. These books- admirably sometimes I needed to take a short break from reading them, then going back to it. Let's face it, it is very, very hard to find a protagonist that everybody likes everything about, if not impossible. From pretty much all of my favorite books the protagonist has annoying qualities that just bother me. Like Clary Fray: She thinks she's helping when she's just messing stuff up more and she seems to always need protecting even though she claims she doesn't Katy Swartz: She does stupid things without thinking about what will happen afterwards, we all do some of those, but some of her stunts have some pretty big consequences Tris Prior: She's not exactly funny and she is always doing things to protect other people-which is good- but sometimes it's just stupid and not helping anyone Katniss Everdeen- I get where she is coming from and all but in Mockingjay she just pissed me off Four/John Smith- He's too serious, I know he's the leader and all but maybe he should loosen up a little Tessa Gray- She's impulsive, which I like, but sometimes, like Clary and Tris, she just jumps into things without fully giving it full consideration Sutter Keely- he PISSED me off at the end of the Spectacular Now read my review here etc. So Alex, just STOP- I like her most of the time but sometimes she just does things that got me annoyed. So go read these books then come back and we can compare thoughts :D Spoilers below for Deity HER DAD IS ALIVE, I knew that servant had a purpose otherwise Jen would have never mentioned him. I never thought he was her dad though, that thought never popped into my mind. AND he's a half-blood so that's how an Apollyon is made. I felt like she wasn't exactly being fair to Seth, kinda trying things out with him when her heart truly belongs to Aiden. It's been obvious throughout all the books that she is going to choose Aiden because, in EVERY single book I've read they chooses the first one they truly love. It was also obvious that Seth was hiding something, oh yeah, and that he beat the crap out of Jackson. I'm sorry, but did anyone else LOVE it when Seth and Aiden fought? I love love triangles, they're my favorite type of love thing in a book, well, as long as they choose the right person (CASHA). So I thought Jackson was probably compelled, which he was most likely, but not by who I thought. As soon as Alex told Seth who did that to her I knew Seth was going to seriously maim Jackson. It was cute when Aiden told Alex his fear, I was just like adisjfdguorwbg it was such a cute moment. Then he left and Luke came in. Let's just think about this for a moment, he knew who Alex was by feeling her boobs. I was practically on the floor in fits of laughter. Then Luke told her like she wasn't alone and her friends missed her and I went from laughter to awwwwww pretty quickly. So Lea is changing for the better, so anyone who has read the Lux series, does that remind you of any other mean character that Jenn has written about? A certain blonde? So right when I heard that I was like LEA IS GOING TO DIE. 'I told him to bite me' I still love Seth even after everything. Just think about him before he was like.. changed. Deacon is gay, I was surprised at that, but I think him and Luke are cute together. Then Aiden and Seth are fighting again, Apollyon vs. Pure. Let's admit here if they were fighting to the death Seth would most likely win as of the fact that he's the Apollyon. So.... Seth felt bad about the fight, and the obvious fact showing that is... (que drum roll) He knocked. It's a miracle! When Seth left with Lucian I was immediately suspicious. Was Seth compelling him? And he was looking at the two of them with a satisfied smile.... Here's a note I wrote Telly -_- Hate that guy And yes! I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE Telly even after his somewhat painful death. It's so obvious that Marcus cares for Alex, I hate how she does't notice that. 'I held the cell phone two feet from my head' Seth has the right to yell since Telly is a mundane pansy cake bitch. DO NOT TURN YOURSELF IN Alex, that was stupid, Telly obviously didn't know who compelled who otherwise he would have used it against her already. She's dead... what???? lol I was so confused. But then she saw Caleb and I felt THE FEELS right there. OMG that part tho. I love Caleb so seeing him again :*) crying with happiness (not really but concentrate on that feeling) 'You're like the sister I never wanted' isn't that just heart touching line? lol. I still love Caleb, I like that in these books since they're based off mythology that after death you can still see the people. When she returned to the living and didn't remember Caleb I was internally wailing. I thought Leon was weird from the start but I did not think he was Apollo that was a bit of a shock. 'Slaughtering him in his sleep- you know, same old family drama. i'm sure we all relate to that. lol. Gods were overgrown children, haha. Valentines Eve, I LOVE Deacon he's so cute. And his MHT lol. I knew having Aiden and Alex in the same house together was bad, well not really bad but something was going to happen between the two of them. Aiden admitted he was jealous of Seth, that was a SHOCKER hmm? lol not. I felt so bad for Aiden during his story of his parent's death. Personally I'd choose Seth, because Aiden is too serious for me and he acts as if the whole world is his responsibility, but I can see why Alex chose him, I just wouldn't. I want a piece of you always. No matter what. *Que feels* Seth kinda turned insane in this book. and I KNEW Lucian had a game I just was not expecting that to be it. I really wanted them to save Seth, it was obvious that he needs it so TRYYYYYYYY he is a good person! Like you can see a part of him is confused, that he can be saved. SO FREAKING ASS SAVE HIM ALREADY. I felt really bad for Lea, since she'd lost everyone. It was cute when Dawn stood up and said she loved her half-blood sister. But then Seth killed her so.... I actually thought Seth had killed Apollo when Apollo stayed back to fight because of what Artemis said, but no, which is good since I like Apollo. Marcus punched Aiden in the face *Insert laugh/crying face emoji* Can you guys stop saying spawn? And I think he's like the father. LOL. Spoilers for Elixir He'd hit her with a god bolt. And I'd punched him. I laughed at that line. Just the way I read it I guess like it's so simple, I punched Apollo. I liked this short 80 page story, especially since it's from Aiden's POV. Though Alex annoyed the hell out of me. First she's a bitchy evil Alex and then she's a very embarrassing Alex who hides in a closet. Is it weird that I feel embarrassed for the protagonist some times, like I feel their embarrassment? The closest part was some of it. Saint Delphi my ass. lol my favorite part might have been him telling Alex about the first time he saw her. That was adorable. Spoilers for Apollyon I STILL LOVED SETH in this book. I was comparing fantoms left and right I thought Evil Alex was like Emotionless Elena, oh add Elena Gilbert to my list of annoying protagonists that girl... UGH I just want to punch her in the face... though Damon would most likely murder me. Emotionless Elena was just even more of a butt than regular Elena. Okay back to the books. Then I was thinking Seth IS REALLY like Jace, because Jsce turned Evil for COLS BUT HE CAME BACK so I was like SETH WILL COME BACK TO US!!!!!!!!!!! Though Seth was like 99% Jace and 1% Sebby because he was like You belong to me. I was like whoa there Sebby leave Seth. Now. I loved seeing Caleb again, how he visited her as a ghost? That was so cute. Olivia let her out. Nice. Though now the less annoying Elena/Alex is back! They say Okay. Okay. TFIOS-ING IT UP HERE!!!! lol I liked Apollo in this book a lot more than the passed books even though I still liked him in the past books too. Just throughout my notes there are random places where I wrote stuff along the lines of DO NOT GIVE UP ON SETH If you could not tell from my past 4 reviews I FLIPPING LOVE SETH. Gross- I guessed her dad's tongue was cut out but it's still gross. Alex is so blind to the fact that Marcus loves her like a daughter and as I've said before that annoyed the hell out of me. MT. Saint Helen's causing trouble again? Those Dam Demigods! (PJO anyone?) Lea and Alex have a cute friendship. It's funny was Lea reading the LUX SERIES in this book? I'm fairly sure she was. Nice one Jen. Aiden has a large temper when he actually let's it out, but I liked seeing that because it makes him seem more human... well... he's not human.... I was afraid a god had compelled Aiden since he kept like sneaking out, good thing he wasn't. Okay so I kept thinking back to the whole 'DO NOT TRUST THE GIfTS' from the oracle so when Apollo gave her the necklace I was like ALERT ALERT but apparently it was just Seth's gift of Telly. Did it ever mention what Marcs's element is? 'cause if so I did not catch that part. I assume it's air because it says the element choice runs in the family and Rachelle was air. 'I actually felt somewhat bad about stealing his helmet and melting it down' Apollo... lol I love that even though Caleb is dead he has a small part in all the books. Thank you Jen. I hated it when she 'saw' her mom and Aiden 'saw' his parents that was so sad. He's concerned he's going to hurt Alex ahh. I actually wrote 'Poor Seth :(' I did feel really bad for him and still do. Men. Sigh. I agree Alex, I agree. He was doing his hardest to keep his eyes north lol good Aiden. I will haunt your ass until you die. CALEB!!! <3 If you didn't know I always wanted a protective older brother and I wouldn't mind having a protective best friend, though sadly it's me that's the protective best friend in my friendships. If I wasn't dead already I'd feel a tad bit suicidal. lol. IT WAS FLIPPING ARES. That beating sounded painful. Ouchie. But it was really cute that she got to see her mom. <3 If my mom died I would love to get to talk to her. Sentinel Spoilers below Lol Artemis, have you ever heard of kiss don't tell? Poor Apollo, being tied to a rock.. So when Artemis said she had something inside her I was like WHAT DID ARES PUT IN HER?! But of course Aiden and Alex think she's pregnant. BUT I WAS RIGHT BWAHAHAHA. I'm going to say, WE FINALLY HAVE A FEMALE PROTAGONIST WHO GETS HER PERIOD. Let's just leave it at that. Olivia and Alex's friendship is so cute, I loved when she did her hair. Seth finally showed up :) I knew he was good wen he showed up, he had to be since we all know how much I flipping love Seth. It was ADORABLE how he fed her his energy after Ares beat the living hell out of her. Then when he said he felt bad adwilwrhsdoighrnw I was celebrating Lucian's death, though Seth really needs to learn that EVIL PEOPLE ARE NOT A GOOD GIFT!!! I was just like forgive Seth already. I know he did a lot of bad things but he's SETH. Sorry, I get character-ist. Very attached to Seth though. When she went down to see Seth and talked to him, telling him she loved him? AWWWW that's all I can say. But then Aiden got jealous -_- "You really like pointing that at me." "You have no idea how much joy it gives me." lol Seth and Aiden. Seth looked like he wanted to shove a dagger through his eye. He was edging towards me, or the door or whatever the quote was, all my high lights got deleted for some reason -_- Athena, please meet the uh... Army of Awesome lol. Apollo is always popping in at the best times, don't you agree? I was pretty ticked off that Aiden promised his soul to Hades. The fundamental L's of life. *laughing* The Slumber Party once a week idea was so cute. Marcus being the head minister is a very good idea. I WANT EVERYONE TO STOP BEING MEAN TO SETH. NOW. (Nepotism much? lol sorry) When Olivia died I was like ARE YOU FLIPPING KIDDING ME? Well at least she's with Caleb I liked that Alex got to talk to her dad, though he wasn't actually a very big part. YES! THE GODS CAME TO FIGHT! I knew Seth wouldn't fail her. I knew he'd give up his power. Though, lol, I always knew you were whipped Seth, sorry but I enjoyed that line for some reason. Seth flipped him off. I enjoyed that line even more. I can't breathe Neither can I, you're squashing me. SETHHHHH <3 I was never scared Seth would die because I read the summery for The Return (Titan #1) When Seth stepping between Alex and the gods I actually almost cried because of how much he love and cared for her. Then when he promised to take care of Aiden imaginary tears were streaming down my face. "You'll never be alone, angel. I promise you. You'll never-" If that line didn't give you several tons of the feels I have no idea what is wrong with your feels, you should probably go see a doctor. Hearing what Aiden did when he found out she was dead... awww. But she's a demigod and so is Aiden. BUT SETH! What he did for her! I'm still so cuted out about that. This just proves my point about why I love Seth. this was my last note THAT IS NOT THE END!!! SETHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait until 2015 for Seth's story. I'm glad he finds himself love. <3 Daimon Spoilers So I did't write notes but I liked this story, reading the beginning of Halfblood meant a lot more sense after reading this. That's really all I have to say about it. END OF SPOILERS SECTION So the series is... over. Remember how I mentioned Seth had his own series coming out in 2015? Or if for some reason that link doesn't work just go to ABOUT ME. Anyway back on topic. This is an Action/Adventure/Romance book as are most of the books I read. It's a YA and if you're wondering why you recognize the name, our lovely author, Jenn, has also written The Lux Series (which I have read, reviewed and fallen in love with) The Dark Elements (On my To Read list) and a few other novels.
Just like the Lux series, these two books that I've read so far (I just started Deity) have been a very fun read. I would rate this book an 8/10 I really liked it, not as much as I liked the Lux Series, but it was pretty good. (If I rated the Lux Series or The Darkest minds an 8/10 SCRATCH THAT I've reread them and now their both 10/10) I've heard from a lot of people that the Lux series has parallels with Twilight and that this series, is a lot like Vampire Academy. Since I have read neither of those series, I would have no idea and I loved both the series I've read so far from Jenn. this is the synopsis for Half blood The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals--well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck. It's a lot better than it sounds, I promise. I wasn't too interested in this from the synopsis either, but it's really good, not surprising from how awesome Jenn's writing is. For me, who loves the action, some of the training got a little dull for me, and Alex isn't my favorite main character, but hey, it's good. So if you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it, though if you've read none of Jenn's books, I would say read the Lux series first, because in my opinion, it's better. Admitably I like Daemon WAY more than I like Aiden. Sorry guys! Spoilers for Half blood below So the Beginning was a little slow for me and I wasn't too interested in it till later. When the daimon bit her (How do you say it Dae-mon like Daemon Black or Di-a-mon or demon?? I wasn't sure) and asked her what she was, my first idea was that maybe her father was a daimon so she'd be kinda a (SPOILERS FOR TID) Tessa Gray. (SPOILERS OVER) I thought it was funny when she was like 'Everybody calls me Alex' when Aiden was saving her. I wasn't really sure what to think of the whole slavery thing, I was kinda just like ah sucks for you because if she went into slavery something would happen out of it. But Aiden saved her from it so whatever. I loved Caleb from the beginning, like seriously I thought there was going to be a Caleb - Alex - Aiden love triangle kinda like the Clary - Simon - Jace ordeal. I figured out that Aiden liked Alex really quickly I thought maybe he'd need some warming to her, but no it seems like he liked her from the start. It was obvious that Alex would get caught somehow for sneaking off to the party, and hey look, she did, BUT she and Aiden did get to have a cute short little talk, so it's okay. I thought that it was really cute that Aiden remembered her. Like I said before I wasn't really paying attention in the beginning so I thought oh, her mom is a daimon from the start, so that didn't really shock me. Another thing that didn't get me surprised was that she was the 2nd Apollyon. When she was reading the thing about it in the giant text book I was like, yep she's the second, otherwise why the heck would Jenn put that in? For Fun? No Authors don't really do that. Caleb and Alex's relationship is so cute. I love how protective he is of her, it's very sweet. When Grandma Peperi was like he had a short road I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO I wanted to know from the first time Lucian was nice to Alex what his game was. I mean, maybe she just hated him a little too much, I didn't really know, but I thought he must have had other motives, and he kinda did. Alex kissing Aiden, that was kinda a sad kiss since he was all 'we're pretending this never happened' and all. I figured out that it would be a love triangle between Aiden and Alex and Seth from the minute she said Seth was young. What can I say? I know my love triangles lol. Okay, any TMI fans reading this? Doesn't Seth sound like exactly like Jace, golden hair, tawny amber eyes, and cocky arrogant egotastic attitude? I mean he has disappearing tattoos too lol. Aw when Aiden said she was pretty I was like YES one step closer!!! You trust me, right? I got conflicting emotions on that. Insult me... Or something -Seth to Alex Kat, say something insulting. Come on - Daemon to Katy in the Lux series haha so similar. She's such an idiot obviously she shouldn't have gone, but we all knew she would go after Rachelle. The thing with Kain seriously freaked me out before I figured out he was a daimon. What did you guys think about that? I felt really bad for the half bloods. They thought they were safe. Jenn does love writing about those weaknesses- Titanium, Obsidian, Onyx, ya know what I mean? Good job to Caleb for knowing his best friend, bad job for getting captured, though, that wasn't his fault. I was so confused over Rachelle being kinda Mom-like I was like WTH because I'm used to the TMI demons. Rachelle was insane though, and creepy. It was really sad when Aiden said they can't be together, but I get why and I understand why he won't take that risk, he loves her. But the fact that Seth felt her. AWW. I felt bad that he had to go through what she had to also. She's training with Aiden and Seth, that'll be interesting since you can tell that they both hate each other. Well, strongly dislike. "Yes, I would actually do that." I know he said that because he was afraid for himself, but I already loved Seth, not just because he's the half-blood version of Jace, but because he's my type of guy like Jace Herondale, Will Herondale, Nine, Daemon Black, Gabriel Merrik, etc. I thought that it was really cute when Seth kissed Alex on the forehead before he left. The funeral for Rachelle was so sad. It was so cute when Aiden showed up and lit the candles for her, we didn't really see him use his power at all, because it's mostly about Alex, you know? The whole peace thing, "Yes I have now" AWWWWW Aiden. that was cute. Spoilers for Pure below To start off, Romvi sounds like a jerk. Like seriously. Worst. Teacher. Ever. It's funny because Leon is like Alec- He keeps walking in at the wrong time. He told me to go straight to my room. (something like that) I went to the cafeteria instead. Haha. Alex may not be my favorite main character but she can be funny. I do not like Lea, I side with Alex on this. So this was my note about the apple Haha in your face, Lea - Literally. I thought that Caleb MIGHT be the daimon on campus, it's the kind of sardonic plot twists most authors go for, thank Raziel he wasn't. I like Deacon, we don't see a lot of him, but he sounds like a pretty cute guy when you see what's underneath the drunk cover. "I really need to find a way to bar those doors." Lol Aiden and Seth's relationship - I love it. I like that Alex feels comfortable around Seth, that she sleeps better with him, I think that's adorable. It was also really cute how she looked really hard and found a meaningful birthday gift for Aiden. She was jealous of Seth being with Elena, AWWWW. That feeling she's been getting it's been Seth having sex. I literally could not stop cracking up about that. His reaction is SO like something Jace would do. Alex is pretty self centered, isn't she? Seth is 19, he's younger than AIDEN! Aiden might save the motorcycle over the Minister... haha. I like his more 'wild' 'free' side over his stricter side. it's more fun to read about and easier to get attached to him, but he does have to be responsible, doesn't he? She loves him.......... I found it entertaining that a guy like Aiden was scared of mortals. tehe. That's entertaining. Fate and Unknown. Fate= Seth Unknown= Aiden it's obvious. Though the thing about not accepting gifts.... It's obvious that Alex is going to choose Aiden, even though I really got attached to Seth in this book. the last book was like 95% Aiden and 5% Seth In this book it's like 90% Seth and 10% Aiden That's okay with me. I like Aiden and I like Seth so yeah. Seriously who is the HE that Peperi was talking about? Seth? Jackson? Deacon? Aiden? Lucian? There are so many males. She just poofed. HAHAHA I don't blame the others for laughing. Seth is very infuriating- JUST LIKE JACE (Sorry I love Jace) Seth feeling Alex's emotions is very entertaining, don't you agree? I LOVED Seth by the time he said "I'm going to have a little talk with Aiden." There's nothing I love more than over-protectiveness (Actually there is stuff but that's near the top) Aiden has a little bit of my-style-guy-too he's pushing Alex away because he thinks it's what's best for her. That's what they all do. I loved that Seth brought over twilight, that was funny and it's cute watching Seth and Alex's relationship grow. It's funny because I've been suspicious of Sandra since she climbed up Alex's window. So I wasn't that surprised when she turned out to be a daimon, BOOK SENSE lol. NO CALEB DID NOT DIE. NO. NO. NO. I was very upset about that. But it was great of Seth to be there for her. I was pretty pissed at Liv (Olivia) for blaming Alex (I keep being tempted to say Katy) for Caleb's death, but doesn't that remind you of Adam, Dee, and Katy??? It was really cute HOW much it showed that Seth cared for her in this book. He grew a rather large attachment to her. I know that Aiden is just trying to protect Alex, but he doesn't have to be such a douche about it, yep a definite my type of guy quality. The Covenants remind me of the Institutes, right? They're so racist in these, like seriously PURES are ARSES to the HALFS the thing with Hector and Kelia proved that. I felt so bad for them. Do they do this often? Haha Laadan yes, they do. Cuddle fest! A secret society of douchebags---- I can see that Seth liked eating with the students. It provided more chances for his head to grow bigger. That servant, IK he would have something big to do in the plot, but we'll get to that in my review of deity. I thought it was really cute that she missed Seth when he was gone. Her dad's name was Alexander, her name is Alexandria, that's really cute (I'm saying that too much) that her mom did that. God- I love Seth in this book he is amazing though knowing Jenn's love triangle from Lux, is there something up with him? I really hope not. I still LOVE the tension between Seth and Aiden. "I think I'm going to kill someone," Seth replied casually. <333333 I have officially decided that Telly is an arse with a name that makes me think of Telly Tubbies (Creepy colored baby things) It was cute when Seth and Alex danced in the field. Then he dropped her. "I blame the wine coolers." "I blame boobs." What were Marcus and Telly talking about?! I think I know now but I WAS very confused. When Aiden and Seth both stood on either side of her ready to burn the world down to protect her adfhgssfrlfgkvo that's all I have to say to all you fangirls and boys out there. 'Even if Aiden loved me as much as I loved cake' Why hello there female Tobias Another thing what's with Jenn and Red dresses and linking connections between two people, lol. I like Laadan but I felt like she was TOO Nice so when she gave her that drink I was like I WAS RIGHT but then I found out she was compelled or whatever. Alex was being really mean I think when she jumped into the water with her dress on. When they kissed I was like YES FINALLY. Another similarity between Lux and Covenant Alex blamed the the connection- though not nearly as long as Katy. I was glad when she said she choose Seth. But IK it's not the end, not yet for this love triangle. I was mad at Telly for being like you always have a choice- CALEB IS IMPORTANT BITCHASS Seth was building a storm for Alex in the room. <3 that was so cute. When Alex was drugged tho.... It's like the Tris Amity Serum all over again the same embarrassing laughable thing. Aiden and Seth fighting when Aiden thought Seth took advantage of her? priceless. I think Telly is behind both attacks on her. OBVIOUSLY Aiden looked for you and was comforted when he saw you, he LOVES you you naive GIRL. Seriously she is naive though. He loves her so much he won't risk her for his happiness. They did the killing count thing, like in Lord of the Rings, awwww Furies= BADDDDDDDD They finished each other's sentences aghffsixgiwrhsfgbklwrhsfgh "Holy" "Shit" That Guard...
