How many books did I read in 2014? That's a good question. I can't answer it exactly, to be honest, because I didn't count all the times I reread the book this year and the books I've read online. So really, I've read more than I say I did here. This year was a good year for reading. I read a total of 152 Books this year (at least that I wrote down). I kept a jar and wrote down the book and the author every time I finished a book, then put it in the jar. Not sure if that made any sense but... Like I said before, this isn't the most accurate count because I started this book halfway through the year so I only wrote down the books that I remembered I read and because I read A LOT of books online this year.
Well, here's the list of books that I read. Sorry I'm not going to include pictures, it'd take WAY too long. This list is in no peticular order, it's just the random order I pulled the slips from the jar so....

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies

So I just got back from seeing The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five  Armies. It was a great movie   and I'd love to go and see it again. Lord of The Rings has been a book series that I've loved since a very young age, I didn't read the Hobbit until later, but I highly enjoyed that book too. The movies are just as spectacular as the books. I wish all book to movie adaptations had as good directors as the Lord of The Rings did, the movies followed the books well and have great actor choices and action scenes, what more could you ask for?

Seriously, the acting in all of the Lord of The Rings movies and the Hobbit Movies were phenomenal and the actors were perfect for their roles. I would rate The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies a 9.5/10 stars. I really enjoyed it and it was a lot of fun to watch.

I have to say..... I might like the Hobbit movies more than the Lord of The Rings movies, nah, I like them both equally.

Lord of The Rings is a story I grew up loving, watching the movies every year. In fact, I'm watching the Fellowship of The Ring part one at this moment. The Fellowship is my least favorite of the Lord of the Rings books and movies, there's a lot less action in them, but after watching the Hobbit movies, I have a new found liking of the Fellowship. I never disliked it, I just didn't like it as much as the other movies.

Notice how Bilbo gets dirtier in every poster? 😂

My least favorite part in any of the J.R.R Tolkien book to movie adaptations are definitely the Frodo & Sam adventures in Return of the King. It's funny because that may be the most important, is the most important part, I just don't find it as interesting as Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimlee (I forget how to spell it) 's story.

My favorite characters in The Lord of The Rings Trilogy are Pippin, Merry, Legolas, Gimlee, Sam, and Aragorn. I really like Boremear (how do you spell these names?! 😥) feremere, Frodo, Gandalf, and well, a lot of the characters, it's really hard to define my favorite characters lol. I like all the protagonists in this series.

In the Hobbit my favorite character is most definitely Kili. But I still like all the other main characters. I have issues, haha.

Just want to point out that the producers of these astounding movies made one book into three movies and three books into six movies. Congrats on your money making techniques guys. I think separating book to movie adaptations (as long as they're good) into different parts is good because then you can add more details than you regularly would in a 2-3 hour movie.

So my family watched the first two hobbit movies last night and this morning but unfortunately I was too busy to be able to watch with them so I can't give you a full review on the series but..... I can give you a review on The Battle of The Five Armies.

Where to begin? Shall I start with the beginning? Okay so I'm going to ask you to leave now if you don't want any spoilers and come back once you've watched the movie. Okay bye no spoilers people!

Spoilers

I'll admit I was on the verge of tears at quite a few points in this movie. Mostly at the end fight. See! I read the book so I knew Fili, Kili, and Thorin would die but... I knew I'd be affected by Kili's death but all of them made me considerably sad.

Though, yes, Kili's made me the most sad. Him coming to try and save Tauriel then getting stabbed in the chest by that freaking ork? D: I knew the three of them would die when they were going up on the mountain but it was so depressing watching it. When Fili and Kili went scouting I was inwardly screaming noooooooooooooooo, though I would've been kicked out of the theater if I'd actually been doing that. So, Fili was the first one to die, it was so sad that they dropped his body right in front of Kili. And I just realized that Thorin never found out if Kili had survived or not which makes the whole ordeal even more depressing. Kili but up a dang good fight, though, before going out. It's been awhile since I've read the Hobbit so I don't know exactly how they died but those fights certainly did keep me on the edge of my seat, not literally. I seriously thought Tauriel would die too because she wasn't in The Lord of the Rings but since Legolas and her kind of parted ways I guess it makes sense she wasn't in LOTR. (The thing stammers e most sense is that LOTR was made first)

Then there's Thorin's death. I did guess he and Azuk would die together but I wasn't expecting it as it happened. When Thorin followed Azuk's body over the ice, I literally wanted to scream RUN OFF THE ICE, YOU IDIOT but unfortunately Thorin didn't listen to my thoughts and it's what eventually got him killed. At least he didn't have to find out both his nephews were dead. So maybe him not finding out about Kili's death was a good thing. So only the Thorin and relations died in the company, the rest lived. Which is good, I mean, Gimlee needs his dad.

Wasn't it funny in the Unexpected Journey when Legolas goes

And what is this horror (or whatever he says)

And then Glowen goes That's my wee lad, Gimlee!

And Legolas makes a face

I still crack up when I see that.

Let's talk Legolas, shall we. So the thing about him is they had to make Orlando Bloom look younger if not the same age as he looked in LOTR so there was something faintly fake looking about him, which was unfortunate. And I've come up with a theory about his never ending stock of arrows in LOTR, since he ran out in the battle of the five armies, he swore never to do so again and got a magical non ending quiver.

No wonder Legolas is so resentful towards dwarves in LOTR. One took away his love, he lost many of his people in a battle started, in a way, by dwarves, and elves hate dwarves anyway so...

I loved how they connected the movie series by Legolas' dad telling Legolas to go to the north and find Aragorn also known as Strider. In Lord of the Rings, it seemed like Legolas and Aragorn were friends and there's a little bit of a back story for them. Though, Aragorn is very friendly with all the elves, especially Arwen. Tehe.

Who to talk about next? How about Gandalf? So, that fight  with Saromon and Elrond against the black riders was pretty awesome looking wasn't it? Then the whole Galadriel power thing was cool and a little frightening. Did anyone get a tweed bit of a flashback to Return if the King when pippin is with Gandalf during the battle when Bilbo was with Gandalf during the battle? I did. I feel like it would've made the movie more interesting if Gandalf had used his powers during the fighting. Now, the movie was already astounding so if Gandalf has used his power to would've been flabbergasting.

Thorin. He was really starting to annoy me with the dragon sickness, as he was supposed to, but he was redeemed when he went out to fight. I teared up when

 1. Kili went raging into battle after Fili's death

2. When Kili was fighting and I knew he was going to die

3. When Kili died

4. When Thorin was dying

5. When Thorin was apologizing to Bilbo while he was dying

6. When Bilbo was over Thorin's body

7. When the company was sad over Thorin

8. When Tauriel was crying over Kili's body

Yeah, a lot of feels.

I thought the movie ended a little hastily. They were probably running out of time to they needed the movie off quickly but I would've liked it to be longer. Actually I just want to keep getting Middle Earth movies from the same producers. I would've liked to see Biblo settle back into his life a little more but I did love to see how they connected the LOTR and the hobbit in the end of the movie.

What did you guys think of it?

The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

This book was highly enjoyable. I think I may have liked the first better, but I still really like this one. I'm giving The Iron Daughter a 8.3/10 stars. While I still enjoyed the book, Megan got more annoying. Remember in the last review how I said she annoyed me only a few times? Well, in this book I got really irritated with her a lot of times and there were quite a few times where I felt second hand embarrassment. All in all, if you liked the Iron King, you should read the Iron Daughter, it's a pretty good follow up to the first book. If you want to see my feelings on the Iron King, scroll down.

SPOILERS FOR THE IRON DAUGHTER
First off, she's the Iron Daughter because she inherited Machina's powers.... right??
The simile of Mab's power to the power of a massive glacier was a little off feeling. It's a bit of a weird comparison.
Okay, Megan we get it, Ash is ignoring you, it makes you sad, you can stop saying it now, Seriously, that was all that was going through her head and it was starting to annoy me. Yeah, I get it, she's in love. But seriously, he did tell her that she couldn't have so much emotion in the Winter Court and it's obvious that he still likes her so if Megan could calm down like forty notches that'd be great.
We all know that eating faery food is bad by now and that Rowan is trouble so WHY IN RAZIEL'S NAME WOULD YOU EAT THE DANG APPLE HE GAVE YOU?! Seriously Meg, USE. YOUR. BRAIN.
Then we she yelled out I love you to Ash, FACE PALM.
Let's talk about Sage, shall we? I was just starting to like him when Julie killed him off, but she didn't give us, the readers, enough time to attach to the character so his death didn't really do much to the reader. I think if Julie had given us more time to get to know Sage then his death would've felt more monumental which is what it was to the Winter Court. I kinda imagine Sage as Daniel Gillies, his Elijah acting just make me think of Sage (the little we know about him)
When Megan was like, I hate you! and then wait, you were faking not liking me?
I was just thinking DUH MEGAN. Seriously, it's not that hard to figure out. Another face palm for me.
Like with the Sage thing, this whole book was a little too fast paced for me. Sometimes fast paced works, like in Legend, but this book seems like it's just trying to hurry through and be done. I feel like if Julie had taken more time to build the relationships instead of just having action on top of action, the book could've been a lot better maybe even 9 or 10 stars.
Okay, was Puck's return awesome or what? Don't say or what. I still LOVE Puck, so I was so excited to see him come back. These quotes just set my feels off
"I'll always come back for you."
"I'd come back from the dead for you."
Then after Puck's return we get Grim and it's like, YES! The team is back!
Let's talk about Iron Horse, shall we? Did any of you think he was just there to die? Because I did. He's just kinda there, yelling and fighting, and I didn't make any special bond with him and when he dies I feel like that was supposed to be saddening to me, but I didn't really care. I was more sad about Sage's death and all the what if's about age than I was over Iron Horse's death.
How freaking obvious was it that Charles was her dad? I mean, seriously, why did it take her that long to figure it out? I figured it out as soon as Megan was like, there's something familiar about him. I mean seriously, Puck figured it out before Megan and he never met her 'dad'.
Okay, I loved Leananisdhe she was awesome. I wasn't sure how I would feel about her when we first heard about her, but I ended up loving her character. She'd be a pretty awesome aunt/god mother as long as I didn't piss her off or anything.
Puck and Megan's Kiss. sldknfgrhwdajksvnfrkdjsvboirwhdfsvnjroidvh So much emotion. I loved that moment, except, she was thinking of Ash during it. Remember, as I said in my Iron King review, I have nothing against Ash and  even like him with Megan. I just want Puck to be happy, and Megan makes him happy, although, she's kinda breaking his heart right now which annoys me even more. I mean, he's always been there for her her entire life and she just takes it for granted. It pissed me off at her. Especially since she was just pretty much using Puck as a rebound since Ash said they could never be together. I really wanted to slap Megan in the face right then and there. Then add the part where he asks her to stay in Never Never with him and she's like I love you but no. I was SO FREAKING PISSED OFF. I just want to hurt Megan. Very badly. And for Puck to find a nice girl who deserves him.
Now let's talk about Ash. He's trying to do what's right, keep Megan safe and save the world. Let's leave it at he's a good guy. I'm looking forward to seeing whenever he and Puck make up and become friends. Because that has to happen. It's been hinting to that all through The Iron Daughter. They did used to be friends, remember?
Either he's going to somehow be able to give up his oath to kill Puck, or Puck is going to die and Ash is going to forgive him on his death bed. Those are the only two options I can see happening.
Wouldn't it make the books so much more interesting if Ash had sworn to never see Megan again? Then they'd have to somehow, I don't know, make all the faery oaths break able. But then I guess we'd never get to see Ash again because it's from Megan's POV unless she used a magic stalking glass or something.
Seriously, did Megan have to follow Ash back out into the regular world? She could've just waited then gone to visit him, then she wouldn't have been banned from Never Never and she could visit Puck in his homeland and all that cool stuff. But nooooo Megan just had to follow Ash. Even when Puck asked her to stay.
I felt SO BAD FOR him at that moment. Especially after she tells him she loves him then follows another man out of the picture. That must have hurt.
Honestly I don't care much that Megan's not allowed back into Never Never, I care more that Ash isn't allowed back and that Puck can't bring Megan back into Never Never. Though, I have a feeling she might be returning to Never Never in the future books. Don't know how, but she probably will.
Everything in this book jut came by too easily. It was too convenient, and there weren't that many hardships. You could argue that Ash got possessed. Blah blah blah but those were all really easily fixed, weren't they? I feel like it all just comes too easily for it to seem realistic. Yeah, I know, realistic in a faery world, whatever. The book needed more realism because everything just happened to come by way too easily. Like her sealed powers, just because her powers were sealed she got through everything just fine, especially because she has Iron powers too. Hurray for her.
I'll still be competing this series. Despite my complaints on the book, I still enjoyed it.

This book was horrible….. ly awesome. I loved it! The Iron King was filled with action, adventure, suspense and romance. My type of book. The characters were well built and had great chemistry together. My favorite character would definitely be Puck/Robbie. He’s so cute. Though, I don’t hate any of the characters, Grim, Ash and Megan are also pretty awesome characters. I didn’t find Megan completely annoying, too, which is a good sign. There were a few moments where she annoyed me, but not too many. I tore through this book in about an hour and a half, it was just that good.
I don’t usually read fae books, actually, this is the first book centered around fae that I’ve read, and I was not disappointed.
The Iron King is centered around an average girl named Megan Chase. At least, she thought she was average (don’t all protagonists at first?) One day she starts seeing weird things. Then she comes home to find out that her brother has been stolen and finds out about a whole other world. With the help of a friend, Megan ventures into Nevernever (the name bothered the heck out of me) to rescue her brother. Along the way she meets some… interesting people including Oberon, King of the Summer Court, Grim, a talking cat, and Ash, prince of the Winter Court and hellbent on murdering her best friend.
I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.
Synopsis:
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan’s life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she’s known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she’ll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil, no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

So like I said before, Puck is my favorite character, maybe it’s because we got to know him from the beginning, or maybe it’s because I just love his personality. Anyway, I know he doesn’t really have the same physical features as him, but as soon as I read about Puck, I instantly thought of him as Robbie Kay. Most likely because I was looking at a picture of him prior to reading the book, also, well his name is Robbie, and so is Puck’s. Plus Robbie Kay has that mischievous look to him that I think Puck would.
Highly recommend this book. 8/10 stars.
SPOILERS BELOW FOR THE IRON KING
Okay, so when she had that dream of being back in her house with Ethan I was like, Oh Crap! Oberon sent her back, luckily that wasn’t the case.
Puck’s return I was just like freaking out, like YES HE’S NO LONGER A RAVEN AND HE’S BAC K TO HELP.
It’s obvious that Puck likes Megan even though she doesn’t notice. I felt so bad for him, because I think it’s pretty obvious she’s going to choose Ash. Most of my notes are about Puck, to be honest. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Ash and I even like him and Megan together, I just think that Puck is the best.
So when Puck shoved her behind him when Ash was at the end of the tunnel. auhfwsajkkjdscn the feels just came right on.
I was laughing so hard at the mention of Rowan and Mab, especially when it was like Rowan wants to get into his mother’s good graces. You’ll get that if you’ve read The Throne of Glass series. (BTW READ THAT IF YOU HAVEN’T)
Then when the Queen of Air and Darkness thing was mentioned, I was laughing too. And I know Cassie based the titles off something else, I just found the mention of it entertaining.
Aw when Puck was hurt about Megan not thinking he was enough and that she needed Ash, I felt so bad for him.
When they said, No fey or mortal could kill the Iron King I practically rolled my eyes, yeah she’s a mix, it’s not that hard to figure out.
Puck was shot, and then I just flipped. I kept thinking he’d show up at the Iron Court to save them but he didn’t :( I’m interested to see how he makes his re-enterance.
"So can I, this one," Ash growled, "is off limits."
Tell me that didn’t give you the feels.
Okay so let’s move on to Ash now, shall we? Black hair? Oh yes, I can definitely deal with him being a love interest. We all know I love the dark haired boys, especially when they are bad boys.
I thought that both Ash and Puck’s faerie powers were pretty damn awesome. Like, Puck can do tricks like multiply himself and cool stuff like that and Ash has ice power. It was always fun reading about them using their powers.
Like I said before, I do like Ash and Megan together, I just want Puck to be happy, too. So when Ash and Megan kissed I just auhdjrdushgurhwgiurw, but I thought their romance was a really quick one. Like I’ve said in other reviews, I hate the instalove feeling and Ash and Megan’s romance definitely had that instalove feel. I just wish they gave it a little more time before Ash is all, I can’t loose you, too. I mean, they were barely around each other for any time.
The chapter Ash’s Final Stand seriously freaked me out, luckily he didn’t actually die. I’m looking forward to seeing what Julie does in the next book.

Split Second by Kasie West
8/10 stars
I absolutely loved this book! It was the perfect sequel to Pivot Point and I highly recommend all of Kasie West's books to you!
My Life With The Walter Boys by Ali Novak
9.5/10 stars
This book is one of my all time favorite contemporaries and took quite a bit of time for me to get over! After reading this I checked out Ali on Wattled and completely fell in love with her other books. I'm really hoping she finds a publisher for The Love Song! I was really into that story. I also can't wait for the sequel! I need more Cole. Most Coles I meet in fictional places are pretty awesome I mean, Cole Stewart, Cole Walter, Kol Mikaelson (though I want to dagger him for what he did to Rebekah at the mo) and others I can't remember at the moment!  GO READ THIS BOOK IT'S AMAZING!!!

The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
8/10
This is a long review coming soon. I read this book in less than a day it was great.
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
8/10
fun romance, really. Though Conrad is my usually choice, the dark brooding damaged one, I preferred Jeremiah! He was such a sweet heart! This is the second Jenny Han Book I've read and I was not disappointed. Can't wait to read the next two.

The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima
8/10
Wow I've been giving a majority of things 8/10. Guess this batch of books was just a good choice. The Warrior Heir was exciting though, I could see pretty much all of the plot twists coming from many chapters away, but that's just because I know what to look for, I guess. I highly recommend this book, it might take a while to get into since the beginning is kinda confusing but read it anyway!

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
7/10
dang it, I broke the 8/10 streak. This book had a seriously confusing beginning but I got more into it. Guys, I read it in literally one sitting. I really liked Theo, Paul was a bit more of a mystery, though I really like those too. I saw the 'big' plot twist coming at the end though so.. This series looks promising

highly enjoyable. I didn't find America very annoying in this book although I felt embarrassed for her multiple times. I liked both boys so... Though I think she'll choose Maxon.

I'm alive! Were you imagining me suffocating under an enormous pile of books? No worries. I'm not dying. But I do have a lot of new books to show you since the last time I made a haul. Although, I also haven't been reviewing books lately so I think I'll post a mini review of the books I've read tomorrow or something.
Picture
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
This is the first book in The Iron Fey series. I'm not exactly sure why I decided to pick this one up. Possibly because I'm really in the mood for an action adventure romance book. And... I think this is one. If you didn't know, action, adventure romance is my favorite type of book.
Like all books I read, I'm hoping I'll like it, but, well, you never know.
Summery:
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil, no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart

The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima
I've heard good reviews on this book series and the plot sounds interesting so I decided to try it out myself and see how much I like it. Like I said, I want some more action/adventure since all I've been reading recently are contemporaries. Although, I wouldn't mind a little romance/ a lot of romance in any book I read. I've found that there are few books without romance that I like these days.
Summery:
Before he knew about the Roses, 16-year-old Jack lived an unremarkable life in the small Ohio town of Trinity. Only the medicine he has to take daily and the thick scar above his heart set him apart from the other high schoolers. Then one day Jack skips his medicine. Suddenly, he is stronger, fiercer, and more confident than ever before. And it feels great - until he loses control of his own strength and nearly kills another player during soccer team tryouts.

Soon, Jack learns the startling truth about himself: he is Weirlind, part of an underground society of magical people who live among us. At their helm sits the feuding houses of the Red Rose and the White Rose, whose power is determined by playing The Game - a magical tournament in which each house sponsors a warrior to fight to the death. The winning house rules the Weir.

As if his bizarre heritage isn't enough, Jack finds out that he's not just another member of Weirlind - he's one of the last of the warriors - at a time when both houses are scouting for a player.

Frigid by J. Lynn a.k.a Jennifer L. Armentrout a.k.a once of my favorite authors ever
I love all of Jennifer's books and intend to get around to reading all of them someday. The summery to this book interested me the most when I read the ones remaining, although the rest do sound very interesting and knowing Jennifer they're all most likely amazing, the best friend romance always interests me. That and the 'hate' romance. I have very high expectations for this book.
Summery:
For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Angelfall by Susan Ee
So I've heard good reviews on this book. I've been going back and forth deciding whether or not to buy this book so in the end I was just like, Oh, screw it, just get the book. You'll most likely like it.
I mean, I love angel books so....
Summery:
It's been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.

Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.

Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.

Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels' stronghold in San Francisco where she'll risk everything to rescue her sister and he'll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

The Selection by Kira Cass
Okay, guys, my TBR list is getting scarily small and if you didn't know, I'm very picky about what I read. Anyway so I haven't read any new dystopian series recently so I was like... The Selection? Everyone tells me that America Singer is annoying AF but it's a good story.
I hate annoying protagonists so I've avoided this book forever. If you didn't know, I actually already own the One. I bought it because it was signed and only $13 for a hard cover, but I never intended to read it.
So now I figured, if I already own The One and like everyone else has read this series, why not try it out? If I don't like the series, I can always just like awkwardly have books 1 and 3.. actually I'd probably just  buy the Elite to make myself feel better.
What I've found with Dystopians is that they're either really good and riveting or just boring so... I guess we'll see, huh?
Summery:
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself--and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
This was never on my TBR list. You'd know that if you're friends with me on goodreads. (friend me!)
I just kinda came across it on amazon and was like, hey! this sounds interesting, I'll buy it. So, yeah, I have no idea about this book except the cover is beauteous.
Summery:
Every Day meets Cloud Atlas in this heart-racing, space- and time-bending, epic new trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Claudia Gray.

Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their radical scientific achievements. Their most astonishing invention: the Firebird, which allows users to jump into parallel universes, some vastly altered from our own. But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.

Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.

A Thousand Pieces of You explores a reality where we witness the countless other lives we might lead in an amazingly intricate multiverse, and ask whether, amid infinite possibilities, one love can endure.

I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson
Everyone who has read this book freaking loved it apparently. I never intended to read it but when I saw all the good reviews I felt like I should see what all the hype is about. So I guess I'll see if this book lives up to its hype.
Summery:
A brilliant, luminous story of first love, family, loss, and betrayal for fans of John Green, David Levithan, and Rainbow Rowell

Jude and her twin brother, Noah, are incredibly close. At thirteen, isolated Noah draws constantly and is falling in love with the charismatic boy next door, while daredevil Jude cliff-dives and wears red-red lipstick and does the talking for both of them. But three years later, Jude and Noah are barely speaking. Something has happened to wreck the twins in different and dramatic ways . . . until Jude meets a cocky, broken, beautiful boy, as well as someone else—an even more unpredictable new force in her life. The early years are Noah's story to tell. The later years are Jude's. What the twins don't realize is that they each have only half the story, and if they could just find their way back to one another, they’d have a chance to remake their world.

This radiant novel from the acclaimed, award-winning author of The Sky Is Everywhere will leave you breathless and teary and laughing—often all at once.

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I got this book for free. In paperback. I sincerely almost didn't get it because it was in paper back... but it was free so.... Plus now I'll have to buy the rest of the series in paperback which will be cheaper for me in the end...
If I ever even end up reading this book. Yeah, I've heard astounding reviews on this book, but well, a character's name is The Darkling. What kind of name is that?!
If I ever do read this book, I hope the Darkling makes his name not matter because I have an issue with books that don't have good names and aren't good.
I didn't read Legend last fall because of the names- Day and June and then I read it, and now I love the names. I hope this book is like that.
Summery:
Surrounded by enemies, the once-great nation of Ravka has been torn in two by the Shadow Fold, a swath of near impenetrable darkness crawling with monsters who feast on human flesh. Now its fate may rest on the shoulders of one lonely refugee.

Alina Starkov has never been good at anything. But when her regiment is attacked on the Fold and her best friend is brutally injured, Alina reveals a dormant power that saves his life—a power that could be the key to setting her war-ravaged country free. Wrenched from everything she knows, Alina is whisked away to the royal court to be trained as a member of the Grisha, the magical elite led by the mysterious Darkling.

Yet nothing in this lavish world is what it seems. With darkness looming and an entire kingdom depending on her untamed power, Alina will have to confront the secrets of the Grisha . . . and the secrets of her heart.

Shadow and Bone is the first installment in Leigh Bardugo's Grisha Trilogy.

Tha Mark of Athena and The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
I already read this entire series, but most of the books are on my kindle. Now the only book in this series that I don't have is The Son of Neptune which is unfortunate since I love that cover. Though, my Lost Hero copy is pretty torn up since I bought that when I was in fourth grade and had no care for the treatment of my books, plus I lost the cover...
It was nice because I got these two books for free too!

And finally

The part about James Herondale broke my heart.
