Now you may be thinking, you didn't like other books at first but you kept reading them anyway. So, why not keep reading this one?
To start off, it's not summer vacation anymore and I have a lot less free time. Add in the field hockey and homework and I hardly have anytime for reading, so I'd prefer to read some really good books in my spare time. Then when you add how much more expensive this series is from other books and that I didn't particularly like any of the characters, I just don't feel like spending $50 on the next two books. Sorry. If you want to send me the next book, feel free to contact me about it, but I just don't feel like continuing this series right now. Maybe sometime when my TBR list is a lot smaller (As if that's going to happen) I'll continue the series, or if you guys really want me to continue it.
Here's the synopsis:
Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.
In a dark and dusty shop, a devil's supply of human teeth grown dangerously low.
And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.
Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages--not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she's about to find out.
When one of the strangers--beautiful, haunted Akiva--fixes his fire-colored eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?
I thought Karou was the daughter of the devil and an angel but yeah, no. Anyway, I don't have a lot to say about this book, sorry if I offended you!
I just finished Across the Universe so the review about it will be up sometime tomorrow ;)
